Yes, very good defense. Probably the best defensive PG in my opinion. Great man and help defender, and has very active hands. Also plays/fights screens well.

I know a few posters here look down upon advanced statistics, but Paul has a career defensive rating of 104. For comparisons sake, Wade's career defensive rating is 104, Lebron's is 102, and Kobe's is 105.

For those not familiar with the statistic, defensive ratings measure points allowed per 100 possessions while that player is on the court.

Paul is a below average defender. Too small to bother shots and he is routinely nailed on screens. More, he has the bad tendency to chase the ball and leave everyone else at risk. Point guard is a tough position to defend now with the hands off rules and all the great handlers. But the guys who set the standard for guarding these points now were Lindsey Hunter and Darrell Armstrong.

If Paul is a below average defender, then every other PG in the league is a shoddy defender. Paul's had one questionable defensive season, and that was 09-10, when he suffered his injury and was out half the seasons.

I'm only going to be biased with the first pick

1.Dwyane Wade(my fav player the reason why im a heat fan)
2.Kobe bryant ( 5x champion killer on the court)
3.Lebron James( never liked the guy but cant deny the talent)
4.Chris Paul(best PG in the league)
5.Dwight Howard( could be number 1 if he would quit smiling)
              6.Dirk Nowitski( a 7'0 SG unstoppable)
7.Kevin Durant( best scorer in the league)
8.Derrick Rose( MVP carried a team on his back)
9.Carmelo Anthony( if he played defense he would be top 5)
10.Amare Stoudmire( very good on the block goes hard)

I can't believe people think LeBron is better than D-Wade still. I'm completely baffled. I thought for sure the hype train would derail after he played the worst Finals a superstar ever had against the Spurs in 07, and then followed it up with another equally embarrasing series against Dallas this season. Maybe when it happens for a 3rd time in the Finals people will see through Nike's hype?

I hate LeBron as much as the next guy, and I have hated him since he got into the league. But I won't drop him down the list based on one series. He's been fantastic all-around for 7 or 8 years now.

I can't believe you still think Kobe is better than either of em.

He's getting older, I don't care what a die hard Lakers fan you are, you must admit that your star player is aging. Did you see his stats this season? Don't blame it on injuries! Did you see his performance during the Dallas - L.A series? He gave up and played no D!

Kobe is still a top 10, but first? Give me a break!

I 100% believe that Kobe is going to be back to normal next season. His knee was clearly bothering him this year, whether he'll admit it or not.

Kobe's 100% is no longer better than LeBron, Wade, Durant, Dirk, or Howard's 100%. He just isn't a top 5 player anymore, and the playoffs showed that.

Playoffs showed that he's tired. The extended offseason is going to help him out.

I think it's just the beginning of the end for him, not a "down" year.
