Welcome buddy. You're new here, so just know that the NBA Forum is a troublesome spot sometimes. Just be smart in your posting and you'll be fine, lol.

Re: Top-10 Players in the NBA

My list is different. Top Ten in 5-10 years.

            1. Kevin Durant
            2. D-Rose
            3. Cousins (Demarcus of course :3)
            4. Westbrook
            5. Tyreke Evans
            6. Steph Curry
            7. Blake Griffin
            8. Brandon Jennings (So much explosiveness...yet so inefficient he makes me pull out what little hair I actually have )
            9. DeRozan (He really started coming on last year. His mid range has improved by leaps and bounds. His 3pt still needs tons of work though)

            10. John Wall (He's such an enigma. I can see where all the Payton comparisons come from. At the same time...I don't think he'll be as good a scorer...but that's just me)

HM: Evan Turner (Ironically...I think he's the same exact player as Igoudala ), Nick Young, D-Favors, Brook Lopez

Brandon Jennings top 10? In 10 years? Explain that one and how he will jump over the rest of those PGs

Brandon Jennings is Allen Iverson if he was left handed, played actual defense (He only played the passing lanes), had a consistent 3 point shot, and was actually willing to pass the ball..not as a last resort, but to start an offensive play.

Do I have a man crush on his game? Maybe. Do I really believe he'll become a top Ten player in 5-10 years? Yes.

The 3 pointer is debatable but Brandon Jennings does not play good defense, and is another scoring point guard except he does it a lot less effeciently than the others (Westbrook and Rose). I honestly don't think Jennings is as good as you seem to see, I see someone like Jrue Holiday having a potentially better career than Jennings. Jennings isn't even capable of being mentioned in the same breath as Iverson.

Brandon Jennings shot 37.4% from 3pt land in his rookie year (he shot a total of 388 3's...he wasn't exactly being selective ). It dipped to 32% (He shot 303 this year) because he was coming off of injuries and he never really got back into rythm.

Allen Iverson shot 31% for his career. His best season was when he shot 34.1% in his rookie year (He took 455 3's that year).

I can't find any defensive stats to back up my claim. Would you provide some to back up yours? (Like when he's on the floor vs off and how many points scored against him?)

Right now? Of course not. AI has like 13+ years on him at the moment. I was just bringing up the fact that AI couldn't hit the broad side of a barn if he had to shoot a 3 (his worse year was an abysmal 28%. Almost as bad, if not more so, than Wade)

Jrue Holliday is very good. But...he plays on the Sixers...and he has no good/elite teammates

Well there must be another player in HS named Brandon Jennings with those attributes because last time I checked Brandon Jennings was one of the most inconsistent shooters in all of the NBA.

And Jrue is clearly better than Brandon IMO. I don't even think it is debatable.

If we're talking about mid range jumpshots then yes. Brandon Jennings is so inefficient. He shoots the 3 fairly well though, check out my post 3 posts above this one detailing his percentages.

I agree. Right now Jrue Holliday is better (IE More effeicent) than Jennings... I do think Jennings is the better scorer because he can put up 25+ if his jumper is on. I do think Jrue is the better overall player though (Because of his rebounding and defense).

How is he a better scorer if he can't finish in the paint due to his lack of strength/size?
How is he a better scorer if he takes more shots to score the same amount of points in comparison to Jrue.

No you're the one who is joking if you think Derrick Rose, Carmelo, or Kobe at this stage in his career is better than Dwight Howard. Then again you have Durant as the number 1 (while exceptionally talents any person who understands basketball will tell you he is not number 1, he still has work to do). Dwight Howard took essentially one of the worst supporting starting line-ups in the NBA to the playoffs (sure Indiana went under .500 but I'm positive Dwight would switch spots with Roy Hibbert in a heartbeat). I'll reiterate Dwight belongs where he is, his offense isn't completely refined but it's obvious he's been working at it making a conscious effort to improve, his defense is already excellent.
