So I guess "D-day" will be Thursday.I have more respect for a man who let's me know where he stands, even if he's wrong. Than the one who comes up like an angel and is nothing but a devil. - Malcolm XComment

Re: NBA Lockout and Collective Barganing Agreement Discussion
My beef with him was moreso how he would "cover" the Knicks and Nets than it is with this. Never liked the dude at all and still don't.#RespectTheCultureComment

Re: NBA Lockout and Collective Barganing Agreement Discussion
Those guys are no different than Woj, who has been pretty much reporting "pro" (as far as thinking there will be one) lockout since the beginning....
some reason his articles are gospel though... *shrug*. Not directed at you Pack.Comment

Nah I feel you.
My position on this has pretty much been the same in that I was never as optimistic about something getting done in time. If you got two groups of people stuck in their ways, no way in hell they're gonna all of a sudden just change their minds and agree to whatever just because the usual start of the season is a month away.#RespectTheCultureComment

Re: NBA Lockout and Collective Barganing Agreement Discussion
I honestly think the owners would love to use the leverage of these guys missing checks to move forward in what they want to throw out there
Its not so much pride or ego more than $$$$$$$$$ and this is the owners opportunity to get what they can

Re: NBA Lockout and Collective Barganing Agreement Discussion
I'd never thought I say this even though others tried to tell me, but I does look like Stern is on the hot seat in this situation. Does he really want to be known as the commissioner who had missed games due to labor disputes in two seasons? Or will he be known as the commissioner who's sport was climbing back to respectability to then be shot back to hell due to a labor dispute?
I now see why he made the idle threats last week of cancelling the entire season. He's getting desperate.I have more respect for a man who let's me know where he stands, even if he's wrong. Than the one who comes up like an angel and is nothing but a devil. - Malcolm XComment

Re: NBA Lockout and Collective Barganing Agreement Discussion
According to tweets by Adrian Wojnarowski, it looks like the agents are the ones who's trying to sabatoage the season.
If nothing else, the agents seem determined to create some leverage headed into Tuesday's meeting, because the players have so little.Agent to Y! Sports (continued): "We're not going to let the league set up tomorrow's meeting as a way to trap us into a bad deal."Prominent player agent to Y!: "We're not just walking off the cliff with (Billy Hunter). We're ready to take the next step and decertify."I have more respect for a man who let's me know where he stands, even if he's wrong. Than the one who comes up like an angel and is nothing but a devil. - Malcolm XComment

Re: NBA Lockout and Collective Barganing Agreement Discussion
This is no surprise. And with that they might. These guys are probably the best talkers in the room and it won't take much to convince the players. Especially with money cuts involved.Comment
