Im not sure what was on the lengthy emails that Durant is talking about, but whatever was said sure didnt come from the players as informed because they had ZERO credibility when they talked because they were either mentioning things that werent in the deal, or completely said something opposite that was right there plain as day for all of us to see

All I know is Billy Hunter has been up to some shady stuff and its not because of the offer that the NBA was giving. This guy has been a trickster towards his own members...

Emails... come on man, whats at stake here and they can send and ask for guys to sign decert letters but when looked at to be informed or for a vote on the deal all they get is an email (if thats even true)

This guy is a rat right along with Kessler
I'm with you on questioning what exactly Billy Hunter is doing. The way the union has handled this is poor to say the least. Despite what any player says, there are far too many grumblings in regards to a lack of information being presented to the entire players association. I feel like Hunter used Sterns ultimatum as a crutch to steer the players wherever he saw fit. Where and why, we will wait and see if suppose.

Emails are such a copout. With so much at stake, and email that may or may not be opened by the players seems like a half hearted "hey I tried" effort. I'm still a bit stunned they didn't mandate a full meeting as a union. The non-chalant response the union gave considering the stakes is bothersome to me as a fan. Alot of people say the players negotiated and the owners were the cause of negotiation breakdowns because of "The Ultimatum" from Stern, but only pulling votes from the reps seems just as out of place.

This whole situation is just.... Bad. Very bad.

Yeah, I see some backlash coming about from the other players, not the reps, who didn't have the option, and are now getting burned by this decision.

Hunter and Kessler are both making money off of whats going on right now while the players are losing money

Think about that for a minute, and the only guy to question Billy Hunter about him giving up his paycheck as well, Mo Evans jumped up and cursed him out

So essentially Mr middle class Jason Terry and guys like Nazr Mohammed can thank Hunter and Kessler for allowing them to get paid while they players get nothing

California trial set for 2/29/12. Much sooner than I thought. Thats good news. Could have negotiations restarted in mid-late December.

Do you think they're trying to avoid trial altogether?

Scratch what I said. I got some bad info. The case management conference is scheduled for Feb 29 NOT trial. Thought it was strange that trial would be scheduled that soon especially without an injunction. Trial date may be set that day.

I wonder how much not having a union actually helps these guys, though.

I know if I just went through this as a player and didn't have a vote, I'd be wondering what I could do to never again be a part of a union that can do that to me.

                      Ok I gotcha

                      TO piggyback CMH

You have a guy here who calls himself the trade association head, but at the same time still wants to bargain

So in light, this is some kind of a sham of a process before decertification

Am I missing something because it all smells rotten

Yeah but it's anonymous, his name isn't attached to it so thats why I think its him, not to mention the interview was conducted by ESPNLA

I know they recently took some quotes from Shanon Brown and Steve Blake in ESPN LA so it could've been either of them

"Hopefully we get a fair deal put on the table that we feel is acceptable for both parties and we move on with the season," Brown said. "It's not going to obviously be a full, 82-game season. But at least we get to play some basketball and give the fans and everybody what they want to see. Hopefully a deal comes about in the next week or so and we can get back out there."

Ouch. But no worries, everyone. The players are well-informed according to Brown.

Ouch indeed. If this is how misinformed they are than there is very little doubt in my mind they would have accepted this deal if it was put to a full vote. looks like Kessler and Hunter won f****in BS, We could have been preparing for Dec15 season and these players were stupid enough to believe lawyers, well players have fun in court
