On a much lighter note, this is the most I've been for an NBA season in my life.

Chauncey Billups has been claimed by an NBA team off amnesty waiver -- but it isn't the Nets, league source tells Y! Sports.

Stern pisses me off so much....Don't trade CP3 and let him walk, end up with the worst ****ing team in NBA history.....Comment

So, Chauncey Billups doesn't get his wish to be a free agent. He'll play for the Clippers this season
Pretty sure he won't mind throwing CP3's oops to Blake.
Looks like CP3 is playing this year out on the Hornets.Comment

Re: Official POST-LOCKOUT Player Movement Thread (Trades, FAs, etc)
Who cares. When his contract is up...he can walk. He has a Player Option to extend a year or walk but he wants a year's advance on that to go where he wants to go.
Screw him.
I don't. It's just that fact that this long drawn out arguments and debates are no different than the discussions we had during the lockout. And the same things are happening.
This is a circus right now.
Chris Paul has never said...you know...me being an All-Star and face of the Hornets I'm gonna do everything in my power to help my teammates get better and advance in the playoffs.
He said...I wanna play with my boys...ignore my contract and make it happen.
I have a problem with that.Comment

Dell Demps should just quit if I was him, he would have gotten this Clippers trade done seeing as they offer the best trade package but no David Stern is a freaking moron and just ruined the Hornets as a franchise instead of trying to keep them afloat especially after selling 10K+ season tickets this year.Saints, LSU, Seminoles, Pelicans, Marlins, LightningComment

Re: Official POST-LOCKOUT Player Movement Thread (Trades, FAs, etc)
Yeah, now it's most likely certain CP3 will stay a Hornet.
Thing is, I wonder how Billups feels. He can't bee too mad he's going to play with Blake Griffin, can he? I mean, this could be the Clips' hypothetical starting lineup:
Chauncey Billups
Eric Gordon
Al-Farouq Aminu/Caron Butler (Clips may want him to score off bench)
Blake Griffin
DeAndre Jordan (Expected to match GS offer sheet)
Caron Butler/Mo Williams as possible 6th man
I'd say this makes the Clippers better than the Lakers, talent wise. But, the Lakers have Kobe Bryant, and that can't be underestimated. But Kobe's looking at the Clips, Grizzlies, Thunder, and he has to be nervous. Plus, his team just traded their 3rd best player who had a career year, to the Mavs for essentially nothing. I see why Kobe would be upset.Comment

Re: Official POST-LOCKOUT Player Movement Thread (Trades, FAs, etc)
I don't think he's gonna request another trade because a team claimed him. Magic can't control that. As long as the Magic keep Dwight involved in things, there's a good chance he'll stay.Comment
