Its more like they have money to pay the double luxury tax, but thats bad business to do it just because you can

They are way over the cap man, and trading 2 bigs for 1 doesnt even make sense

I agree. I've been extremely skeptical about it ever since LO was gifted to Dallas (can he even be considered a gift at this point though?). I try not to think about it because the scenarios are suspect at best at this point, lot of people feel otherwise. I just don't see it happening.

This was the right decision. No way we should have given Gordon a max deal under these circumstances. We'll still get the final say if he wants a new deal done next year.

Ya I'm not worried at, I expect with a new owner by FA they will just match any offer

Soooo the center piece in the cp3 deal post veto isn't extended? Not sure why, even if he's an rfa, that would go that way. At least they got the Minnesota pick-.... Oh they're doing well? Well at least Kaman... Oh he's an expiring. Gordon will get a max offer in FA, might as well have just locked him up now.

Why lock the dude up with the max if he's played a grand total of 2 games and out atleast 3 more weeks when u could just wait to see what he's fully got plus the expectation their will be a new owner by FA

Still don't know, but if he's getting a max deal from us he's going to earn it. We still can offer him one more year than anybody else. It's much better for both the team and Eric that his deal is done with a new owner in place.

Less than max all I know, good move by the Hornets as it's not like he's said he doesn't want to be here or anything( as of now lol).

Let him earn his max contract when he comes back and maybe work out their own extension later or just match any offer.

I guess. When the trade went down the presumption had to be that Eric Gordon will be a centerpiece as the team rebuilds. He's an RFA though so I guess it really doesn't matter in the end..... Just inconsistent pattern. This guarantees the Hornets will be paying max.

Yeah it's a given he'll be getting max now, but can't fault the Hornets for trying to get less than max especially when they have no owner
