IMO Mo Williams is the odd man out because he doesn't bring enough of what they need from the reserve spot SG position long term

Also, what the heck happened to Eric Bledsoe? Is he injured
That is true. At that price you almost do have to give it a shot. Like King said though, I don't like the combo of him and Vinny. At least in Denver Karl was there to hold him down.

Aside from all that, I kind of do want to see them sign Earl. As if they couldn't be more entertaining on the court, he would take things to an extra level.

As for Bledsoe, he's just now getting some PT because he's coming off an injury. I was wondering what happened to him as well but I seen him come off the bench sometime last week.

He must've like just recovered from injury a few days ago then wow

Vinny is only so much of a worry because they do have other guys there.. some he's comfortable with in Chauncey and Kenyon, and great floor leaders like Chris Paul and I think those 3 personalities will be more important to this guy than Vinny

Its not like JR is a Sheed type hothead where he just loses all sense of his actions

JR Smith could be a good fit as well whenever he's going to get the ball with CP3 on the floor is on an open shot and I think he likes to shoot a lot lol

True, but IMO JR could hurt their chemistry on the court. Like I said, too many scorers, only one basketball. Billups' shot selection is awful enough.

It wouldn't matter if he signed for free, if it hurts your team's identity then I wouldn't take him. I don't think they need him at all.

I think he fits right in to the teams identity honestly, I'd take his chucks over Gomes and Foyes (who obviously have a green light in LACs system) ....but I agree on the "too many scorers" front. What they need to be improving is defense at this point...

Who would you suggest for them, a guy like Thabo?

Im not sure Gomes and Foye is enough offense consistently myself

Another trade might be on order

I think Foye has been shooting well every time I've watched him. Not a fan of Gomes ss they're setup though. Jr is a good backup plan for Butler if nothing else.

I wouldn't touch the roster to be honest with you.

JR is absolutely a better option than Foye or Gomes in general terms. But as I said, you'd be taking touches away from everyone else which could ultimately be a detriment to your team. Do they really need JR? My answer is no.

                    Taking touches from who though?

                    He'd be a 2 mil a year bench player

When they have those tough scoring droughts, he could help them

                    Can he help - yes

Do they NEED HIM - no

...and again what is the alternatives out there im wondering

CP3, Billups, Butler, Blake, Mo... he isn't gonna be on the team to play only 10 minutes a game strictly with the 2nd unit.

Potentially could take away minutes fromy your hustle players as well...

Obviously he could help them but the risk isn't at all necessary. They don't need alternatives they could simply stand pat.

Rumors swirling Arenas is putting on a workout in LA and the Lakers staff "might" be attending.

Told you he's high risk but he wont be taking shots away from a CP3 man

Matter of factly he was on the team that almost beat LA had the team not went into meltdown mode

As I said we'd have to wait to see if he has matured a little but the reason you get him is for shooting and scoring

Wait and see if he has matured? You gotta better chance waiting for Aliens to land on Earth than JR maturing, especially after hearing all the stories out of China since he's been over there.

Lateral move at best and he's not bringing any defense, which if they're going to be a playoff team that's what they're going to need. No need for another green lighter.

Offensively, they're fine without him but they could definitely use another player that's decent at playing some D out on the perimeter.

I dont mean full fledge from JR to Shane Battier mature

I mean if he has changed or calmed down a little... some of that just comes with age

I dont ever think he'll be a model citizen

Hopefully his stint in China shows him just how good he has it in the US so he settles down a bit and starts to realise he's quickly running out of chances. Probably won't though, dude seems like a knucklehead.

Between him and his girlfriend at least the LA tattoo industry should get a nice little boost (if either of them have any un-tatted skin left that is).
