Nuggets and Clippers made a really stupid move.

I don't get what the Nets are trying to do by trading for Wallace.

Love the Pacers picking up Barbosa for a second rounder.

Where are you getting this from?

So you would rather have the Nuggets be handcuffed in 3 years when Nene is making an obscene amount of money and playing like a bum, and give them no flexibility to get better?
I'd like to see what they do with Nene right now.

Why is everyone talking 2-3 years from now?

If I'm a season ticket holder for the Nuggets today...I'm pissed off to ship Nene off for Javale Freaking Mcgee.

      What are you not understanding?

Yeah, but they weren't going to win anything with Nene there NOW.

So why continue to move forward?

What don't you understand about that. Regardless of who they got for him. They gave themselves flexibility.

Explain how LAC made a stupid move? I understand Young is a black hole, but if that's the case, they can sit his *** down just like they did with the useless Brian Cook.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Young calm down with CP3 at the helm.

The Clippers didn't have a legitimate Shooting Guard. They got one. I'm pretty sure Chris Paul and Blake would strangle Nick Young if he tried to jack like he was still in Washington.

Eh, I feel you. But in the end, this isn't the first time Fish peaced out. Not to mention he had his run in with Miami two off-seasons ago. Still owed 3.4 million, to do what? Sessions and Blake will make better use of those minutes, and as long as he was on the roster, his parking spot was reserved as the starting PG. LA's FO has been clear they are trying to cut costs, and dealing Fisher just echoes that (not to mention the brilliant inclusion of Luke in that Sessions deal). Gotta do what you gotta do.

I don't mind bringing in Jordan Hill at all, to boot. McRoberts and Murphy definitely can't play back up 5. Worst case we don't run the team option next year and more cap Busschak got off the books, with the TPE still left over.

Sucks, but Fish had to go.

They now have a chance to add someone else to the mix...

Nene doesn't deserve that kind of money.
Ok so I see how they could be better long term if they use their cap space wisely. But how are they better in the immediate future? McGee is not an upgrade over Nene. They are essentially destroying their slim chance at making a run in the playoffs this year. They were not a bad team. They had the 6 seed despite some injuries this year.

Why are people acting like Denver just decimated a championship team?

They are the 6th seed in the West!!!!

The way some of you were going on about the future and cap space...I thought Denver was near the bottom of the league.

Nothing to do with trolling. That was the reasoning from people here.

As a fan...I want my team to be competitive. If they make the playoffs...I consider that competitive. If they get bounced...oh well.

But to downgrade your team for "cap reasons" when you're in the middle of a playoff push is assanine IMO.

People talking about luxury taxes and complimentary players like Wilson Chandler.

                    It boggles my mind.

I'm okay with disagreeing with everybody on here. But I don't want management pissing on diehard fans and calling it rain.

I respect what Portland did today. They made no bones about it and cleared house.

These other teams pressed the panic button and F'd their franchises...IMO.
As a season ticket holder and a fan, I want my team to be a championship contender or tank the season. The Nuggets were neither. Denver is only 3 out of spot #3....and 2 games out of missing the playoffs. Thats no mans land imo.

So either this Nene trade makes them suck so bad that they end up with cap room and a lottery pick OR the team continues to win and still has cap room. Staying the way they were makes them unable to sign Chandler, a mid level playoff team and a team thats lucky to make it the second round. Denver fans have seen that before. I think they want more and the only way to do that is to bring in new players either through the draft or cap room.

Because some cities...I don't know...like to have a winning team. Which they are right now. Better record than the defending champs.

actually i think the clippers mightve taken care of their one weakness.. getting young (even if it is only for the playoffs) for cook an a 2nd rounder isnt too bad IMO.. chris paul wont give him the ball if he starts chucking up shots and if he fits in then he can be a scorer either starting or off the bench, so at the very least i think hes an upgrade over foye

I like the moves Houston made today.

But I do not like getting the corpse of Derek Fisher. Kill it with fire the moment he walks into the training facility.

Agreed on the Barbosa pickup. Don't mind the Clippers move for Young. Damn near everyone was lost in Washington, dude has some ability ... might be a decent grab.

I like the Indy grab, but serious bummer about Kaman. As a Bulls fan I shouldn't be that stressed, but I really like this Pacers squad and that would have been fun.

So you want to meddle around in the 6th through 8th seed and never win anything?

That's what was going to happen if Nene stuck around.

Apparently your expectations are lower than others.

They are still a winning team without him btw.
