You get NOTHING by constantly tearing down your team. For God's sake look at some of the teams that have made a habit of this. Consistency is key.

You can't go from last to first each time. You don't breed a winning culture by losing.
As long as it doesn't mean paying your 4th or 5th best player the most money.

Not to mention said player is aging and not getting any better.

But yeah you don't wanna be constantly tearing your team apart.

So you'll have to excuse me if my expectations are a bit higher than yours just because I refuse to "settle" for just being IN the playoffs as opposed to building a legit contender. And I'm almost certain I'm not alone in this aspect either.
Exactly. It's all progression. The Suns are in 10th or something right now and all the idiots on the Suns board bitch and HAVE BEEN bitching about tearing down and starting over and tanking and straight up rooting for losses. That's BS. You can't win if you're not in. The Suns have been rebuilding since 2008. The 2010 WCF was a RESULT of the rebuild. Do I want a championship? Obviously. But I'm not going to hope we're the worst team in the league just to get some draft pick that may or may not pan out and just because we probably won't be winning a title this year.

I mostly agree with D-Wade (his apparent response to Jarrett Jack). Its a cynical POV buts its largely the truth. Nobody gives a damn about loyalty (when you're superstar) if you're not bringing home trophies in the end.

Greg Oden's time with the Portland Trail Blazers, which effectively ended in February when it was announced that he would soon be undergoing his third microfracture knee surgery, is officially over now.

One source close to the situation told ESPN.com's Marc Stein the Portland Trail Blazers were forced to waive oft-injured center Greg Oden -- selected No. 1 overall in the 2007 draft over Kevin Durant -- to help create sufficient roster space to accommodate all the players Portland acquired in separate trades with New Jersey and Houston on Thursday.

The Blazers also waived young center Chris Johnson.
Hello Suns training staff, meet Greg Oden's knees.

Eh, just trying to mess around.

I really don't think there's room for him, but I'd be willing to try him out. Suppose he could be a decent choice to back up Gortat.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Young calm down with CP3 at the helm.
You don't think he'll be constantly bitching and causing problems if they relegate him to the bench?

What assets do they really have. They just traded away Brian Cook (aka Cookie) for Nick Young basically (that 1st round pick will start to get useful later). What more can you get?

Super late, but I hope going to Jersey works out well for Crash Wallace. I'll always respect the hell out of guys like him who leave everything on the court night in and night out.
