Still doesn't make sense. You won't be able to "roll the dice" until next year or when you get a new owner. By then Odom and Dragic will definitely be off the books and a trade can get Martin off of the books. Same difference except instead of tanking a year with a disgruntled PG and an empty arena...you have a potential playoff team and more tradable assets.

I think you guys are missing the point of the argument. The contract isn't resonable for his skill level, it's perfect, it fits him. However in the sense of a team's cap situation and what the Lakers got in return, no that's not a reasonable amount of money.

That's for Houston, a privately owned team, to decide. Has nothing to do with NO

And somehow we'll trumpet that the Lakers gave up Gasol and Odom FOR Chris Paul. I'm gonna stop arguing this though cause we're going in circles and you guys are going to continue to ignore the fact that it's not fair for the Lakers to ship out 27 million dollars in salary and only take back 16 and a trade exemption.

Say what you want about making sense. But Cleveland held on to LeBron lost him sucked for one year gain some top draft picks and now have two really good rookies to build around. Instead of trading for a bunch of pretty good players who most likely may not resign or have to be shuffled for other decent players via trade the following year.
You looking at the Chair MAN!
