It has nothing to do with that... it's not as if I've never liked the Lakers before

It has nothing to do with the team. The worst part is these so called fans dont even care to talk about basketball when they lose

One thing they probably have on the NFL is the amount of nonsensical bandwagon hoppers

Not sure why you're consistently condescending about anything regarding the Lakers but that's your own prerogative.

          - Why would the Lakers trade to become a worse off team?

          - Why do the Lakers have the ability to make these moves but others aren't?

          - Why aren't the Grizzlies trying to trade Rudy Gay to replace Conley?

-Why are the Warriors and Clippers gun shy?

I can understand it rattles up people but when you have assets and trade them you general try to better your team. Unfortunately the Lakers have consistently had great front office management backed by a great owner and market (compare that to the Clippers) . Smart draft picks. Smart signings. Smart trades. New Orleans is best served trading Paul before they lose his talent for absolutely no talent in return. Lakers just have the right pieces and guidance. Everyone should be fuming at Houston for wanting Gasol, not the Lakers for making intelligent negotiations.

Go to 2:55. Then go ask Andrew Bynum about that "bum" knee.

Are Lakers fans seriously questioning this guy coming to their team?

I am at the cost of Gasol and Bynum. No chance Kupchak or the Lakers shoulder value CP3 more than both Bynum and Gasol. Teams can harp on Bynum health but I can't look at CPs knee? OK.

People act like the Lakers need to make roster changes to contend. That's a false pretense. Lakers hold leverage, there's no need to break apart the core.

I don't think it's unfair to question how long the knee will hold up. Of course he had a great year last year and proved that he's healthy, but in the next three years it's going to be interesting to see if his knee can withstand...

I wouldn't say he has a "bum knee" though, probably a bit harsh.

I'm not. Chris Paul will be a big part of the post Kobe era.

And before anyone says oh well the Lakers have the luxury of being confident CP3 signs an extension so that's why other teams are afraid of signing him. Fine, let CP3 hit free agency. Lakers will then have the luxury of hand picking what assets they receive while they clear the cap necessary to sign him, as opposed to being hand cuffed to the pieces on the table as is, should he decide to go to LA.

One thing people seem to forget is that CP3 basically had the same procedure that Brandon Roy had in that he had his meniscus removed from his left knee last year.

So yeah, those issues with his knee will end up getting worse eventually so I understand Drewski's concern.

From what I've heard (I think someone on ESPN mentioned it) it takes about a year and a half to regain FULL, pre-injury explosiveness after an injury like Paul had.

So I'd think he'll be much more explosive than last year.

Plus, it's not like the Lakers don't have injury concerns already. Kobe is slowly breaking down. Bynum is injury prone. In addition, Gasol is bipolar soft. World Peace is bipolar.

Lakers' fans need to prepare for the future, whether it holds Dwight Howard or Chris Paul.

Laker fans aren't questioning CP3 coming to their team.

Don't you get it? They want Kobe, CP3 and Dwight Howard on their team by any means necessary. That's why they dumped $15M on the Hornets in the first deal hoping it would pass.

The Laker fans don't give a crap about Bynum. But he is their own pawn to give to Orlando for Dwight Howard.

                            Seriously.

If they don't get it their way...kicking & stomping I tell you.

You never know, LA always pulls off crazy trades or signings. If the trade for CP3 happens before D12's then they may be able to pull of the Big 3 in LA. They might want to go after NeNe. You never know. CP3 is just a chip to the bigger puzzle

I agree but Mitch hasn't said a thing about the rest of the hand he's playing so as it stands I'm not keen on it. Not a fan as it stands without knowing what else he has brewing. Luckily its Mitch so likely scenario is there's nothing to worry about.
