Pau's a good dude for that. Really cool.

Just wish he wasn't such a bitch on the court and that he wasn't a Laker, because just seeing him makes me want to throw my laptop at the wall.

When Drewski mentioned that Pau video to me then sent me the link, I thought about putting it up here. I didn't because I figured it wasn't worth it, figuring that some of you guys here were just going to tear him a new one.

I liked the video, dude speaks from his heart and is a nice guy. But like people say, hopefully he can get over the whole trade thing now and get back to proper form. Time to man up and make a good run here Pau.

I'm kinda confused now. Wasn't the trade deadline yesterday? You could still trade after the trade deadline?

And ohh shii. One more post till 1000!!!

Did you really just quote a post I made over a week ago and ask if you could still trade after the trade deadline?

I don't know about the trades that have happen. I don't think any of them will really change any of the teams that are trying to make a push in the playoffs. I really thought the Bulls would have changed something. Because in my opinion they really need a change. I think RIP is a good fit. But does he help them in the long run. I don't know.

I'm sorry, but I'm still sick to my stomach about the Fisher trade. I haven't cared much about the NBA this year but this has gotten to me.

To JFsolo, whom I respect a ton, you can't compare this to when Fisher bolted town to sign with Golden State.

He actually had rhyme and reason to go, since LA wasn't going to pay him. He was young and capable of having a bigger role.

There was absolutely no reason to trade the guy away now, that he's in the last year of his career. For what? Jordan Hill? That bum? I don't care how young that guy is, he's a bust and will never be anything more than a worse Chris Wilcox.

It would have made much more sense to keep Fisher on to mentor Sesh for the rest of the year. Keep three point guards for Christ sake. Fish was no doubt the leader of the team and Kobe's closest teammate.

                          Jesus.

The Bulls don't NEED a change. They need everybody to get healthy at the same time and stay that way.

I'm not sure what the hell Washington was thinking but they already handuffed themsleves taking on Lewis contract now your stuck with Nene's horrible deal not to mention Blatche has like 3 years left on his deal
                              1. The fact that they found someone stupid enough to take McGee and give them something in return automatically makes this a win for them.

                              2. They still have their amnesty clause to use so if they want, they can use that on Blatche.

                              3. Lewis' contract is only(only!)guaranteed around $7-$8 Mil next season so it's not like it'll be affecting their cap space, especially if they amnesty Blatche. They could also either trade him and get back players since he'd be an expiring next year or buy him out for that $7 Mil.

Either way, taking Nene and his contract back still doesn't affect their flexibility as far as draft picks and cap space going into the future. But so far in this NEW rebuilding project, they got rid of Flip, got rid Young and McGee and will also probably get rid of Blatche in the offseason as well and also the GM Ernie Grunsfeld, but so far heading towards the right direction

You have to allow teams to build and grow. You think the Bulls in the late 80s were saying "oh, we're a meddling team who cant get to the Finals so **** it, let's just blow it up then"? No.

You get NOTHING by constantly tearing down your team. For God's sake look at some of the teams that have made a habit of this. Consistency is key.

You can't go from last to first each time. You don't breed a winning culture by losing.
I think in the end, the goal of a team is to win the championship. If that's not the goal of a team, then your team has the wrong people running it.

NOW, I understand the perspective of progression BUT you have to be realistic about goals and expectations. A good GM knows the outlook of their teams and execute the rebuilding process when it's time. A bad GM will continue to hang on to guys almost in their 30's, keep barely making the playoffs and some day expecting to win a championship. Doesn't happen in the real NBA. That's called 'NBA Hell'

And it's funny you bring up the 80's Bulls because I mentioned this in the "Should Jerry Krause be in the Hall of Fame" thread. When Krause took over in 1986 up until the Bulls won their first title in 1991, the only two players that was on both rosters was Michael Jordan and John Paxson. So you can say that they did clean house.
I have more respect for a man who let's me know where he stands, even if he's wrong. Than the one who comes up like an angel and is nothing but a devil. - Malcolm X
