    Re: 2012 NBA Draft Discussion

    Alex Kennedy ‏@AlexKennedyNBA
The Los Angeles Lakers and Brooklyn Nets are each trying to acquire a first-round pick, according to league sources.
    And according to David Aldridge:

David Aldridge reports on NBA TV that the Nets are "calling around the league" hoping to move up in the lottery where they would like to take Thomas Robinson, NCAA Player of the Year and a projected top five pick. Aldridge said the Nets hope to use Robinson to close the deal with Deron Williams or in a trade for Dwight Howard.
Robinson said a few months back that he would like to play for the Nets.
The Nets are hoping to move into the first round and have $3 million of Mikhail Prokhorov's cash hoard available to facilitate such a move. The question is what other assets can they marshal to move up 50+ places on the Draft Board. Aldridge reportedly used the word "desperate" to describe the Nets efforts. Speaking of "desperation", Aldridge also used the word in a tweet to characterize the Mavericks push for Williams. "Dallas' desperation for DWill."

Tony Wroten makes Rondo look like Steve Nash. His jumper is absolutely putrid, words can't even describe how bad. In 2K13 his medium, close, and 3 pt should be at like the bare minimum.

Almost there. I really hope Charlotte trades down, even if we just pick up another 2nd round pick. We can get either Robinson or Barnes (or have our choice of both) at #4.

I don't see how in the world Brooklyn can get into the the Top 5. I can't see any scenario where Robinson falls past the Kings @ 5.

I would watch Tony Wroten shoot during warmups before games. He'd miss the majority of his shots even in warmups. And they'd be terrible bricks and airballs too. I'm a big fan of Tony's but the guy cannot shoot if his life depended on it. There was one game I saw him make a pullup jumper off the dribble. I damn near fell out of my chair.

why do many people consider him a late first rounder then?

He has the talent, size, and potential along with athleticism and other measurable to be a top 5 point guard. I remember one college analyst saying that Tony Wroten doesn't realize how good Tony Wroten is. I mean honestly his talent is up there yet everything hasn't clicked and coalesced enough yet. He's a project, he's essentially the Point Guard verson of Andre Drummond.

Have no idea what the discussion is about, but if it's potentially moving down on draft day i'm down if guys like Lilliard and Rivers are gone.

Bobcats played their hands right now, and will obviously look for a SF in the draft. It could either be MKG or Barnes, but we could also try that trade with Cleveland (although I still don't know why Cleveland would do it) and move to the 4 and get TRob, then use the 24th pick and the 2nd round pick to move up and get a SF.

Ew, Bucks moving up 2 spots isn't worth it.

                            They need to replace Bogut.

We would like to have Brad Beal. Idk if you guys could move up using the 24th and the 2nd round pick.

We would have two of the three - TRob or Barnes or MKG, left at #4. Whoever Washington doesn't take. I'd love to add Robinson since we aren't going with Beal, personally. I think the trade for Gordon makes it much less likely that we'd push as hard for the #24 pick now, and would probably be good with getting another high 2nd round pick.

I really want Rich Cho to make the deal with Cleveland if it's out there. It's a win-win. We still get an elite talent and pick up another draft pick or picks.
