Idk why people are talking reckless about the Bobcats. Cho was clearly in charge of the draft this year (thank goodness). We picked up two good players who are focused. People forget that the Clippers and T'wolves were garbage. But now they act like they have such great management and are good places for players. That all became true when their picks turned the franchise around and brought hope and hype.

I think MKG can bring that to Charlotte. MKG is a Iggy prototype that has a very high ceiling. Will we make the playoffs next year? Heck no. But we won't be the worst team in the league. If the Detroit Lions can make people forget about their awful season then we can. Plus we are just 3 seasons removed from making the playoffs last.

Favorite line from Bill Simmons' draft diary: "That means the Cavs just parlayed four top-33 picks (including the no. 4 overall) into a sixth man and a backup center, winning this year's Baxter Burgundy Award for the team that pooped in the fridge and ate a whole wheel of cheese, only you can't be mad at them because it was kind of amazing."

Bill Simmons was the same idiot who thought taking Kyrie Irving was a mistake. Simmons is a great sports comedian and loves he game, but he's a moron. And that's being generous.

            1) It's awkward TV. All 9-year-olds aren't ready for a mic in their face and shrink in the moment.

            2) It was her mom and grandparents as well. Granted she still has her father, but I think that whole situation made her realize the emotion that this would bring.

Yes. It's unethical to blindside a 9 year old on National TV. That's as low as you can get.

Who in charge gave her the green light to interview a little girl?

I was waiting for someone in the family to just step in and push the mic away.

And then you realize it's just her and her brother there. Who, by the way just got drafted...which means she was alone and they could do the interview uninterrupted.

UGH. Still makes me mad thinking about that .

Going back to last year's draft diary, that's not really true. He's said Kyrie was going to be a poor man's CP or rich man's Mike Conley (which looks right so far) and he can make an All-Star team (which is also true because the East is stacked at PG). His only precaution was he missed 2/3rds of his time at Duke, and last time I checked, he did miss 15 games this year.

His only mistake I think was assuming they weren't going to get rid of Baron.

For the record, I think Zeller will be an above-average starting center in the NBA. And I think Waiters is a piece. Just don't think he's THE piece. What he did in his career at Syracuse just screams Jason Terry-role in my opinion. Which isn't necessarily a bad thing. I think he and Austin Rivers will end up being equals in the NBA (not that they're the same player but that they'll be about as good as each other overall).

                          1. Nobody has ever thought the Clippers nor the Wolves have great management are are good places for players. Nothing has changed, can you point to anyone saying that those places are great places to play?

                          2. Calling MKG an Iggy prototype is quite a stretch. As college prospects they are pretty different. Other than having long arms, being solid defenders and questionable jumpshooting, they are nothing alike.

                          3. There's still a more than decent chance you'll be the worst in the league. Not trying to be mean or anything, but which teams do you honestly see being worse?

Dude...I'm gonna try to be nice right here.

But the very FIRST question she asked a 9 year old was...(now think about Thomas Robinson and his well publicized story...just think about it for a second, okay):

Byron Scott is gushing over Dion Waiters. He even came out and said that he reminds him of Dwyane Wade.

I'd say that Waiters is going to be pushed. Hard.

I've seriously heard this Waiters guy get compared to Wade a billion times.

                                ........

                                .....

                                I won't hold my breath

& I'm not hating on Cleveland's draft at all, I don't think Dallas came out like bandits like it seemed.
