Re: Jeremy Lin
I think the one thing that will help Melo adapt is the fact that he has a post game. He ain't just that typical dude at the gym that thinks he's Jordan because he's better than his friends. May see a lot of post from Melo when Lin is in, and a lot of ISO when guys like Bibby and Toney Douglas are at point.
Also, I think Melo will adapt because, honestly, of his wife. They were stressed apparently to begin with, or at least LaLa was, and I can bet she'll tell him to make it work or sleep on the couch.
But, in all seriousness, I think Melo would want to TRY to refine his game since he's in his hometown.
Knicks fans, guess the fate of your season and Jeremy Lin's future hangs in the balance of LaLa telling Carmelo to change the way he plays basketball. Good luck.Last edited by 1Rose; 02-11-2012, 04:20 PM.Comment

Re: Jeremy Lin
Similar hype was on Rubio in first couple games too this year and he's in Minnesota. I remember a lot of doubters on Rubio before he came to the league.

Re: Jeremy Lin
Can't wait for tonight.
What most doubters are forgetting that the kid is in the record books. Its not at all (to me) about his ethnicity.
To quote J.A. Adande "The 89 points he scored in his first three starts (including Friday) got him a historical distinction. They are the most scored by an NBA player in his first three starts since the NBA-ABA merger 1976-77. That predates the start of the Magic-Bird era, encompasses Michael Jordan, Shaquille O'Neal, Kobe Bryant, LeBron James -- all of 'em"
I talked to guys with many more nights logged in this building than me(MSG), who have sat courtside on so many big nights in this building, going back decades. They dubbed this "one of the coolest nights I've seen here" and "one for the ages."
That's because it's an ageless story. A guy made the most of his chance.
"He just showed you tonight how he can respond," teammate Landry Fields said.
Isn't that what we ask from sports?
Show us something. Surprise us. Amaze us. Inspire us.
Or, in Jeremy Lin's case, all of the above."

Re: Jeremy Lin
But did you read the comments? LOL the dude who made the report said he has the tools necessary to eventually become an All-Star, and some of them took it as, "You think he's gonna be an All-Star after 4 games? Oh, you must be smoking something, or you must be Asian."
It's ridiculous to always read those type of comments, lol.Comment

Re: Jeremy Lin
I mean, it guess it depends on what you consider to be a hometown. Sounds to me like the majority of his childhood was spent in Baltimore, so in that way, Baltimore is his hometown, but I get the argument that "If you're born in X, that's your hometown" too.NFL: Bills
NBA: Bucks
MLB: Cubs
NCAA: Syracuse
