Re: Agreement for new Seattle arena reached
During the press conference yesterday both Hansen and the mayor both said they were "one step closer to bringing the Sonics back where they belong". There's no way the team will be called anything else.Comment

Re: Agreement for new Seattle arena reached
Lucky bastards, us Kansas Citians have had this new empty arena just sitting around for years now waiting for an NBA team, NHL team, or SOMETHING besides Celine Dion concerts and WWE events. All we get is one or two preseason games. I'm not gonna lie, if Seattle gets the Kings I'm going to be pissed. They need to come back to KC to round out the franchises -- Chiefs, Royals, Kings.Comment

Re: Agreement for new Seattle arena reached
If they name the team anything but the Sonics, it would be an incredible disservice to the city of Seattle and to Seattle NBA fans.
I really hope that they grant them their history back. No one in their right mind recognizes that as Thunder history. Those banners better be hanging in that new arena.Cubs | Bulls | Dolphins | 'Noles

I doubt any of the suited corpses in the NBA front office have forgotten that.

Re: Agreement for new Seattle arena reached
After looking at the Forbe's most profitable NBA team list, Jordan should seriously move the Bobcats up there. It'll help him get out of the red and it'll give you at least 3-4 years to assemble a good team. Of course he'll have to find the right front office and stay away as much as he can.#WashedGamerComment

No team will come up here unless they sell to Chris Hansen. The arena is dependent on him owning the team.Comment

Re: Agreement for new Seattle arena reached
As much as "Kansas City Kings" does have a nice ring to it (and alliteration too), the fact remains that when the Kings WERE there, they had really bad arena attendance--thus, not much money coming in for the team. Even when they had Hall-of-Famer Nate "Tiny" Archibald, they couldn't get fans to come.
I doubt any of the suited corpses in the NBA front office have forgotten that.
