There are teams that need to blow things up and start over. This situation doesn't belong in that conversation.

Comparing Ray Rice's 4 year career to TPs 11 year career and a 11 year old core doesn't make much sense though man..

I think your looking at this as an overreaction to the result of this postseason and that's just not the case...it's been an idea tossed around by our FO the last few years...

I personally don't think we should break up the core, instead add to it....but Parker IS pretty much our only trade chip where we can get a decent return, it's not ridiculous to explore that as an option at all....neither is it destroying and rebuilding if we went that route.

Remember, Spurs 'rebuilding' is not the same as say the Cavs 'rebuilding' or Wizards 'rebuilding'.

It does in that their both focal points of their team which I think was his point in that case.

I think the chirps were about whether to trade Parker or Hill, and they traded Hill. Parker was also doing a lot of chirping at that time, and there was talk of him not taking his game as seriously as his celebrity status. They built the offense around Parker this year for the first time... he responded with an MVP level season, division title and at worse, Conference finals appearance.

I understand the window is closing, but I don't think I'm just reading this as an overreaction... it is one. Even the way it's phrased, "If they lose this series..." So if they win they shouldn't trade him? What's the difference? This is the difference between being disappointed with not winning it all and having unrealistic expectations imo.

They don't PPM, but if they trade Parker after losing this series that's exactly what I would consider them doing it... which is why I think it's a crazy thought to have.

And you're spot on with my Rice comparison.

Whether or not they win a ring in what is likely their last great opportunity with this core? It's only a matter of time before Manu or Duncan crumple in the floor making a hard cut or something and are never the same player again (knock on wood). I'm not saying I'll be angry if the Spurs don't trade Parker after failing to win the West, he'll always be my dude, but it's not ridiculous for the idea to be considered.

I have a feeling Stephen Jackson is going to have a big game.

And I know I said the Spurs are done, but I can't help but root for them. And I just can't count out the Spurs, so we'll see what happens. I hope I'm wrong and they can pull this thing out.

OKC not looking good at all so far.

The Spurs on the other hand are missing anything from the field.

Great first quarter, but the second quarter has been the bug-boo for the Spurs. Gotta continue to play with patience, poise and confidence.
