to your other point im not really into stats the way you seem to be, there are so many things that take place on the court that just looking at stats cannot accurately represent especially defensively. i just go off of what my eyes tell me in the games that i watch and i pretty much watch every nba game that come on cable tv...espn, tnt, abc, etc. so thats what i base my opinions on the eyeball test tho i do understand that some folks are heavy into stats.

my main point was that i dislike how the media has treated westbrook in the finals. i think they have an agenda and a storyline to sell and he doesnt seem to be apart of it, so they are trying to put him in his place. that was my point
i agree that the media is overselling Westbrook as the reason OKC has been losing, but I just disagreed with you saying Durant was only a better scorer. IMO opinion he is better at almost everything. With that said Westbrook is still very good and needs to stay aggressive for OKC to win the series.

I'm not one that would recommend changing the starting lineup, but I think they're having issues with Miami's bigs having so much range. You've got Battier at PF with Lebron sliding over on occasion, and Bosh stepping behind the 3 point line this series. It's just a nightmare for Perkins. Ibaka's athletic enough to deal with it but it's out of his comfort zone. I think jeeb (and probably others) has said countless times that they should play more zone. I have no idea why they aren't. It makes sense with their rotation, the level of players they've had in foul trouble (Durant) and the formula Dallas used last year. It's actually almost disrespectful of them not to play it more.

I know there was a game (can't remember which one now) where they did a little zone and Lebron was cutting so well he was getting passes in the middle of the key, but a) that says more about how power your zone is than anything else, and b) LBJ's been killing them in the m2m too so that just shouldn't really matter.

              Thought this was kinda interesting:

<LI sizset="59" sizcache01338055815867955="123">Ethan J. Skolnick of the Palm Beach Post: During a postseason with some potholes, Dwyane Wade has looked outward as well as inward — even taking a one-hour trip from Indianapolis to Bloomington during the second round to visit with his college coach, Tom Crean. Sources told the Post that, last week, Wade also reached out for a trusted friend and adviser to come to him. Tim Grover, the founder and owner of Attack Athletics, is best known for all his years training Michael Jordan, and has been working lately with Kobe Bryant in Germany. After returning to the United States, Grover went with Bryant to Los Angeles, when Wade requested he come to Miami. With Bryant’s permission, Grover flew to South Florida, arriving on Saturday, watching Game 3 of the NBA Finals from AmericanAirlines Arena on Sunday night, scheduled to stay a few days to work on Wade’s body and mind."
See all that was going on around this Dwyane Wade three-pointer during the Bulls win over the Celtics Tuesday night.

I think they need to throw it out there a few times and see how the Heat react to it. Especially when they are rolling and have the mometum. Like you said they have the players for it. And it would help Durant a lot with having to cover LeBron (where I think he is getting most of his fouls).

edit: Anyone read about Ibaka vs James? And how James isn't that good of a defender. Great fuel for both of them.

edit2: Has anyone seen this stat. I'm kind of shocked haha

Heading into Game 4, James is averaging 30.7 points and 9.7 rebounds in the playoffs. Here’s the list of players who have averaged at least 30.7 points and 9.7 boards in a postseason during the modern era:

Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. Shaquille O’Neal. Hakeem Olajuwon.

That’s it. That’s the list. Three of the all-time great centers.

That is the definition of an arbitrary stat cutoff.

lol, it is... but I think what does stand out is that it's a list of centers he's rubbing elbows with. And, of course, to show how he's been balling which he has.

According to ESPN Stats & Info, James is the first non-center since 1969 to average 30 points and 10 rebounds in the first three games of the Finals.
Last person to do it? Hondo.
