    Can't wait for tonight...
Its not as easy for a Spurs fan to understand because y'all have 4 championships already and none of them have ever had people saying that you were an inferior team that got lucky because the other team didn't show up.

I'd also like to note that no Mavs fan even brought up the Mavs in the first place.

On that note.. I might have said this already. But I was pretty blown away that not only has any team come back from a 3-1. But no team has even forced a game 7. I would think at least one team could of forced a game 7.

I really hope The Thunder change something tonight.
I think it was Skip Bayless who said that while it's never happened in the Finals, 8 teams have done it in other rounds of the playoffs. So it's definitely not out of the question. If OKC can win tonight and take it back home, I wouldn't be surprised to see at least a Game 7 if they play the way they're capable of and stop having games out of character (Game 3 missing free throws, Game 4 missing three pointers, James Harden doing nothing).

In this series more importantly, it definitely has, and to say that Westbrook was doing a great job avoiding contact last night is hilarious.
If they called it equally, Russell would have been at the line 20 times last night. You don't even have to touch Wade in the lane and the whistles start blowing. There have been 4-5 instances where Wade has been merely grazed, nor touched at all and he has been sent to the line, and that's just on layup attempts alone. Completely ignoring the times where he jumps into guys, where according to rules, your not allowed to do anymore. Same goes for LeBron.
Head to youtube or somewhere with video and show me 10 times (not 20 but 10... hell, even 5) Westbrook was fouled on a drive that wasn't called. In your post you say you can't look at the numbers but that's exactly what you're doing. There are plenty of things the refs have (or haven't) done to complain about, but in this instance you are like the others who are taking it too far.

This hypothetical arguing style doesn't hold any weight. It doesn't matter how many phantom calls Wade's gotten in the past, or how many we can estimate him getting in the future. It doesn't mean Wade would've gotten any calls if he were Westbrook in those situations. Now he may have gotten more calls bc he would've TRIED to get them by creating contact, selling fouls (whether they're actually fouls or not), etc. But that's not what Westbrook did.

Not to mention, Dallas also had the personnel(Kidd, Marion and Stevenson were good man defenders and then they also had Chandler/Haywood to protect the paint for them whereas the Thunder just have Sefolosha as their best defender in this series) where they could mix up some Man Defense and some Zone Defense and as we saw, the Heat looked like that was the first time they ever saw a zone defense.

Shoot, we heard from Rick Carlisle that he noticed them not making any adjustments at ALL, which basically made his job ALOT easier because he didn't have to really worry about the Heat making too many, if any adjustments at all.
I don't remember them running a zone at all since game 2 if I'm not mistaken. And when they ran it, it seemed like they just stuck with it way too long. We saw Miami adjust and James cutting through and carving it up. That doesn't mean it doesn't, or even didn't, work. They need to switch up the defense frequently. There isn't a question that the Heat (James specifically) can adjust. It's putting pressure on them to continuously recognize and adjust throughout the game.

Plus you're looking at what Dallas had to make their zone effective... I'm also considering what OKC has that makes their m2m less effective than a zone would be. It's pretty much to the point where Perkins shouldn't be on the floor unless they're playing a zone (to use one example).

Wanted OKC to win this series, but Lebron has been phenomenal this series. Probably will stop watching the game if its clear MIA will win because it would be hard to see them celebrating. I still wont view Lebron any differently, winning a ring doesnt change anything for him IMO, just because he guaranteed 7.

I get why that would bother people. I'm more inclined to give him a pass though since he was saying that at a glorified team pep rally. I find it much more ridiculous that they even had that gathering.

They ran zone in the last 2-3 minutes of Game 2

I've considered all of that and that was exactly my point. There are different factors(which was my whole point in this)that played a role in Dallas' Defense being more effective than OKC's Defense has.

What did you expect? He said it right after "The Decision", it will be always be looked back at IMO. It showed how easy he thought it would be to get championships.

I dont get why Cook isnt getting any playing time during this series, especially with the Thunder struggling from the 3 point line. At least try and see if he could get some 3 pointers to go in like Jones from MIA. Thabo D is solid, but his 3 point shooting doesnt help them whatsoever, especially late in the game.

Were talking about the Finals here. I've always consider bigger than the playoffs. But I understand what your saying. I think the question is... Do you think the Heat won those games or the Thunder lost those games? It sounds like you would say Thunder lost those games. Where I think the other way then haha

Did you say Cook?... Who would he defend? Brooks had him out there for a few minutes I remember I think Wade got some baskets vs him. If he doesn't hit 3's. He is basically useless. Same goes for Perkins. I know people will say the samething about Harden. But he brings defense. He just not hitting his shots. I rather have it that way. Then playing bad defense. It's tough
