The Knicks were screwed even if they got Nash.

I just googled "Brooklyn Nets" and saw this message below "Big day today in Brooklyn Nets history!" on their Google+ page.

Does this mean that the Dwight & Deron duo begins?

            Really Toronto?

I hope he goes back to Dallas. Epic heel turn.

Maybe the air in Canada will put some arc on Fields' jumpshot.

Knicks- let Fields walk and Nash go.

What another average season getting a 7th seed then getting bounced in the 1st round of the the playoffs is really great.

I don't know. That...isn't too bad. As hard as it is to fathom Landry becomes the best SF they have on that team.

Bayless/Derozan/Landry/Bargs/Ed Davis isn't a bad lineup. It's not good, but it isn't bad either.

Maybe an 8th seed or have a worse season than this past seasons Bobcats.

                        3 years for $20 million!?!?

Def what Ex said about the nose & face. That's just unbelievable. I hope Deron resigns with the Nets and Nash goes to Dallas and these fools are stuck with a borderline D-Leaguer making $20 million.

If the Mavs management is not pursuing other FAs, not amnestying players, not doing their due diligence to improve their team...that is on them, not Deron. They shouldn't be putting all of their eggs in one basket. Didn't we see this same thing happen in the summer of 2010?

And I made no comparison of Cuban and DWill.

My point is that if DWill was so important to the Mavs...why did Cuban tape a show in LA instead of meeting DWill in NY with the rest of the Mavs reps?
So if you were in the Mavs position instead of waiting to see if one of the best point guards will sign with you, you would just operate under normal circumstances and basically lose any chance to get him. The Mavs aren't the Nets, the Nets have money to throw around at other players and get pieces, the Mavs don't, that's just how it is. They don't have a lot they can do and still have the money to get D-Will.

Cuban isn't the important piece to signing D-Will. D-Will walking in and seeing Cuban isn't going to magically make D-Will sign with the Mavs. If D-Will is smart at all, he already knows how much Cuban wants him considering Cuban dumped half of a championship team to be able to have the money to go after him, he doesn't need to be there.

You start Nash/Ross/Derozan/Bargnani/Valanciunas possible 6-8 seed in the East.

Eh, I think James Johnson is better. And Terrance Ross might end up starting there before too long. And that lineup is good enough to contend for 8th in the lottery again.

Let's ignore the fact that we suffered from injuries for large parts of the season and in the playoffs. We can't all be as great a team as the Bucks are.

Yup. If Toronto really wants Steve Nash, they can have him. Let's get who we had back and hope for a full healthy season and training camp to mesh together.
