There has to be a better deal out there for Al Jefferson on an expiring contract than Matt Bonner and expiring contracts.

Re: Chris Broussards Sources tell me Trade Rumors and Discussion Thread
In order to even up salaries, it'd have to be Bargnani and Kleiza for Boozer.
I wouldn't mind Bargnani,Kleiza for Boozer and Teague.Comment

I'm all for trading Boozer, but not for this deal. Not for Bargnani.Comment

I know it's better than nothing, but surely they can do better than Stephen Jackson and Matt Bonner (or whatever the Spurs offered).Tennessee Volunteers

Man I would do that boozer deal in a hot second.
Getting a high level scorer when healthy (didn't he average like 25 ppg for a chunk of a season in 2011?).
As good as Booz is playing, he is still one of the worst contracts in the league an if someone wants him, ya do it.GT: Event Horizon 0Comment

Bargs has never been and never will be a high level scorer.
If you feel that this trade is a great deal for the Bulls, I need whatever drugs you are currently high on.Cubs | Bulls | Dolphins | 'Noles

Gotta love the blanket "that's terrible" comment with no real opinion. Good job!
Anymore that thinks that we should not trade boozer and his contract to anyone that would take it is a fool. If we get a big man that can extend to 25 feet, can put in on the floor a bit for a big dude, and can hit the pick and pop all day, even better.
We lose a year (2?) and 5 mil per. Makes it easier to make a run a FA that will actually help rose at that kinda money.GT: Event Horizon 0Comment

Re: Chris Broussards Sources tell me Trade Rumors and Discussion Thread
You realize we still have the amnesty clause right? If we really wanted to rid ourselves of him, then we could go that route.
I'm all for trading Boozer, but not for this hot garbage, and any difference maker that we are going to be looking for, is going to come at a much steeper price than 5 million per.
What's even worse, is including our current best active PG on the roster for a lesser version of Nate Robinson, who we already chose to not retain.
Bargs is a shooter that can't shoot and a 7 footer that can't protect the rim, or play defense, and takes 16-17 shots a game.
What a winner he is.
Financially this deal would only help us marginally, and when looking at the position we have put ourselves in this season, without Derrick Rose, it would be a huge mistake to make this trade.
Oh, and let's also not forget we already drafted a stretch 4 who is already believed to be a superior player to Bargnani who is set to come over next year or the following.Last edited by JODYE; 02-08-2013, 12:09 PM.Cubs | Bulls | Dolphins | 'Noles
