really? Guess mocks are still way off, he's been in the 20-26 pick zone, but I know the international players will rise. I think Saric, Gobert, Giannis and well I guess now Schroeder will be Lottery or right outside the Lottery. Hawks are gonna end up with whichever center falls and Rice since his stock is rising pretty fast as well.

I'd be all over Giannis if I was in the lottery. Upside is crazy. His measurables are ridiculous too.Comment

Chad Ford @chadfordinsider 5m
Nerlens Noel measurements: 6'10" in socks and 6'11.5" in shoes. 7' 3.75" wingspan and a very good 9-2 standing reach.
Chad Ford @chadfordinsider 4m
KU's Ben McLemore was just 6'3.5" in socks and 6'4.75" in shoes. He does, however have a 6'7.75" wingspan.
Really hoping we end up with Noel.Ohio State Buckeyes | Carolina Panthers | Charlotte Hornets | Cincinnati RedsComment

Personally, I wouldn't take McClemore in the top 5. I'd be surprised if he turns out to be anything more than a good role player.Tennessee Volunteers

Re: 2013 NBA Draft Discussion
Whatever team picks Noel will most likely have him take his recovery slow and try and get on the Andrew Wiggins 2014 sweepstakes.

Re: 2013 NBA Draft Discussion
Edit: A couple other significant measurements:
MCW coming in at 6'6' with shoes... good lord
Allen Crabbe: 6'6.25, 6'11" wingspan
Rudy Gobert: 7'2", 7'8.5" wingspan
Archie Goodwin: 6'5'" in shoes with a 6'9.5" wingspan
Shane Larkin with a 5'11" and 5'10.5" wingspan...that wingspan will ruin his stock completely IMO
Shabazz: 6'6" with a 6'11" wingspan...should erase any doubts that he's big enough to play SF in the NBA
Victor Oladipo: 6'4" with a 6'9" wingspan is huge for him
Peyton Siva: 6'1" in shoes?!? My god, he looked like he was 5'10" on tape
Otto Porter: 6'8.5" with a 7'1.5" wingspan
Dennis Schroeder: 6'2" with a 6'7" wingspan
James Southerland: 6'8" with a 7'1" wingspan and 220 LBs... might be enough there to advertise himself as a potential stretch 4?Last edited by Yeah...THAT Guy; 05-16-2013, 10:32 PM.NFL: Bills

What kind of damn shoes is he wearing to gain almost 2 inches?
Also, why the hell do they measure players without shoes? I assume nobody would ever play barefoot.Comment

Re: 2013 NBA Draft Discussion
Why do drafts no longer have those immediate franchise changing players. The guys like Magic, Bird, Jordan, Akeem, Ewing, Barkley, Duncan, Shaq, LeBron, etc..
I guess Kyrie and Lillard are the closest in awhile now, but with so many outstanding guards in the league right now it sorta negates how well they did.#RespectTheCultureComment

Re: 2013 NBA Draft Discussion
MCW, Gobert, McLemore, any of these Euro guys, etc. And I think a guy like Burke or Oladipo, while having more limited potential IMO, can sort of change the culture of a team or become a leader for a team.
Next year's draft is the one that's supposedly going to have the guys that are all-time great caliber, but we'll see. Guys in the following year's draft are always hyped up like crazy because we usually don't see any of their weaknesses until they start playing in college.NFL: Bills

Re: 2013 NBA Draft Discussion
He's undersized, yes, and you'll have to take it slow with him in his rookie year. But he has unbelievable quicks and great shot-blocking ability. Even if his offensive game only becomes passable, his defense would make it a worthy investment alone IMO.
You win with defense, and having MKG and Noel on the same with with Biz manning the floor gives the Bobcats a nice base on that side of the ball. Granted, there are literally no scorers in the 3-5 in that lineup, but you hope for development to lead them to be servicable and find some scoring in free agency or the draft.Ohio State Buckeyes | Carolina Panthers | Charlotte Hornets | Cincinnati RedsComment

Kyrie surprised me too though, I wasn't really big on him coming in to the draft. I love his game now though.
So I guess to answer your question it would be after the fact for both of them.. But really they aren't even at the level of player I'm talking about, just the closest I could think of in recent yearsComment

Would you put Steph Curry in that category or say he's been closer than those two in terms of what you said?#RespectTheCultureComment

Re: 2013 NBA Draft Discussion
I wouldn't take Nerlens higher than #5.
C/PF is the strength of this very weak draft class IMO. I think Nerlens is a PF. He has no offensive game. I'd take Gorbert and Len before I take Nerlens. And Gorbert is a project but I think he'll eventually contribute somehow on offense. Gorbert would be my #1 C/PF and Len would be my #2 off the board. Nerlens would be my #3.
I like Steven Adams of Pitt as well and I'd take him over Zeller.Comment

Re: 2013 NBA Draft Discussion
Kenny Kadji just helped himself a lot with a good vertical to combine with his size and jumpshot.
Also, if I read it right, Cody Zeller out jumped Plumlee by 5 inches and had the highest vert out of any of the centers to this point. Absolutely never would have guessed that lol.
Edit: Also also, I love Steven Adams body, but don't like his skillset at all personally.Last edited by Yeah...THAT Guy; 05-17-2013, 10:29 AM.NFL: Bills
