Higher Ceiling, Paul George or Kevin Durant

Who do you guys think has a higher ceiling, PG or KD? I think KD is obviously the better player at this point, but I feel like he is almost at his potential, while Paul George could eventually be that 2nd best SF after LBJ.

Yes, when it's all said and done, who will be considered the better player.

I don't see George ever surpassing Durant, especially on the offensive end.

See offense can be worked on easier than defense, and I think George is already a better defender than Durant. On and off ball.

On the offensive end he has better handles and maybe a better finisher right now.

As a pacers fan I'm not quit sure this question even needs to be asked, PG has a way to go before we even ask something like this

As good as PG is I think he's best suited as a number 2 option.. I don't think there is any scenario in which I could say that about KD.. Maybe if he played along side LeBron, but even then he would lead them in scoring.

As good as KD is, he's still improving, which is scary. I could never invision Paul George being as good or better than that guy.

He's only asking potential. Not comparing the two or asking who's better. It's pretty obvious Durant is better. But as far as potential, no one can deny that the sky is really the limit for PG. He can do everything, like LeBron, he's just not a master of any of them yet(like LeBron is).

KD is still improving and PG will very likely never surpass Durant's current level.

I say Kevin Durant because he doesn't even "know basketball" yet and he's pretty much a dominating force - at least on the offensive end.

Reading up on KD I see that he always wants to improve and get better and I think the defensive end will come.

I think George will come into his own as well but I don't think he'll ever be a better player than KD. I do see a bunch of AS games in his future if he continues to improve. I see a lot of Lebron in George - which is basically once he understands he's the only one who can "stop" himself he'll be a force.

To answer the question of ceiling I'll say Paul George. However I don't see any way he actually reaches that ceiling and get close to Durant let alone surpasses him.
