Re: 2013-14 Transactions Thread
The Knicks are plotting an entrance strategy for 6-foot-10 big man Jeremy Tyler, hoping he can give them a youthful spark.
Knicks brass has seriously discussed re-signing Tyler this week to bolster their frontcourt, according to an NBA source. That would take advantage of the four-day break, after Saturday’s 115-100 loss in Toronto, by incorporating him in practice. …
“Nothing’s set in stone,’’ the NBA source said.

Bynum to Miami pls !!!
If Riley can get his mindset right, we just need him to rebound & defend Hibbert, nothing else. It'll also benefit Oden as well as they can both rotate minutes in spurts, maybe 3-5 minutes each, 15-20 minutes in total.Comment

Re: 2013-14 Transactions Thread
At this point I feel like Bynum has no desire to play basketball anymore. Cavs attempted to trade him but his lack of effort on the court turned away all of the teams.
Looks like they'll just release 'em. At least the Cavs are paying him 6M less then they were before.Comment

That's why I call the Bynum signing a low risk, high reward signing. If Bynum ended up playing well high reward. If he didn't, they could just release him as the money isn't guaranteed.Comment

Re: 2013-14 Transactions Thread
According to multiple sources, Andrew Bynum (suspended) has come up in multiple trade rumors involving the Lakers and Bulls.
One rumor has Bynum headed back to Los Angeles for Pau Gasol before reportedly being waived and another rumor has him headed to the windy city for Luol Deng (and again waived). Both moves would reportedly save the Lakers or Bulls over $20 million in salaries and luxury taxes, though neither deal seems to have legs as of yet. We'll be monitoring this situation closely as it's very possible that Bynum is with neither of the three teams in the near future.

I doubt Cleveland throws a top pick at Gasol because he sure as hell isn't going to resign there. That would be pointless.Comment
