Gasol would be a great fit for the sole fact that you can rely on him more than you could on Bynum as far as health goes.

Is it really worth it though? Gasol isn't your long term answer. Hell he's barely a short term answer. How much better is that going to make Cleveland? Seems like a pointless trade for both sides to me.

Yes, it's worth it. It's not like Cleveland is giving up anything in this deal. At most, they should give up a 2nd rounder, and that's at absolute most. The Cavs are saving the Lakers roughly 20million by making this trade.

lol...dont get it at all on clevelands end...

you could end up with the crappy gasol who doesnt want to play and refuses to utilize his skillset properly...not to mention he will be option 3 cuz waiters and irving will continue to ball-hog...

tank for parker...dont screw yourself into winning a few more games and getting the 13th pick

Yeah I hear you guys on that, but how does it save either team money since Bynums contract isn't guaranteed through next year and Gasol is on his last year? Maybe I'm just not seeing it right.

If Bynum is waived by Jan 7th, none of his contract is guaranteed, meaning it gets the Lakers under the cap and away from the Lux tax.

As for the Cavaliers, Gasol may be crappy, but he's a floor spacer and infinitely a better player than Bynum is.

getting gasol is going to kill any chance bennett has of developing....he barely plays as is, and with gasol taking up 30 minutes a game he wont see the floor. may as well send him in the trade

Gasol would be playing Center, that doesn't take any of Bennett's minutes.

thats 30 less minutes in the rotation..gasol can play PF and most likely will if andy or zeller are on the floor.

If Lakers get Waiters AND Bynum for Gasol

OR 2014 1st round pick and Bynum for Gasol


then that would be good for the Lakers' future, and this trade can make the Cavs into a Playoff team, ANNDD Mike Brown has experience with Gasol
