    Re: 2014 Draft Class

Fun fact about myself, I went to the same high school as Dante Exum (I still go to this school while he moved to Canberra and to the AIS) radical feeling knowing a future nba player went to the same high school as me, even got the chance to play against him during lunchtimes xD

Wiggins has been on a little streak of late. Shooting the ball really good.

Smart isn't the athlete Wade is. I don't see the comparison really, outside of neither of them being good shooters.

I see Smart's ceiling as a combo-guard version of Deron Williams.

That's kind of where I think Smart is at between Deron Williams/Wade/Jason Kidd (ceiling wise). I'd draft him in the top 3-5 if I could.

What similarities does he really have to any of those guys besides being stocky? Deron is 1000x the ball handler smart is. Kidd is 1000x the passer smart is. And wade is 1000x the athlete and all around player smart is. I think he's deserving of being talked about for the 5th pick, but anything above that is a reach IMO.

Wait... Isn't that what I just said? I wasn't saying he was the next of either of those guys. I'm just saying he got something of those 3 guys. I'm comparing not saying the next.

I don't think he has the ceiling of any of them, except maybe Williams. D-Wade is arguably the best SG of this generation, Jason Kidd a hall of famer. I think Smart is a good player, but he is going to struggle in the NBA at first if he can't play the point.

I didn't really see the hype in Smart last year, then he started off this year phenomenally, and now he's cooled off again. Really don't know what to make of him.

The Smart/Deron comparisons make more sense now than the Deron/Kidd ones did when he was coming out.

The one thing I hate about that comparison is that Smart isn't a good ball-handler or passer, and Deron is a pretty good passer and I'd say is one of the best ball-handlers in the NBA. Even in college he was a tremendous ball-handler. I think that was one of the biggest reasons Deron was once upon a time in the debate for best PG in the NBA, and Smart just isn't in the same universe as him in that regard.

Defense and Assist numbers were a big reason why he used to be in that discussion.

He and Boozer were just awesome together though. Maybe we should credit all of that to Sloan, but I think he basically made Boozer an All-Star... Along with what you mentioned, and that he would randomly drop 40 some nights.. He was just playing at a very high level in Utah. Still see flashes of it at times.

I think Embid could be a very good player in the NBA he just needs to work on some things

Dante Exum reminds me MCW he has size, length, decent handles, and defense

I'm really excited to see where those 2 land in the draft
