Are you kidding me, I love these threads.

Desagna Diop or Hasheem Thabeet. Which one is more useless.

I do think the Batum and Paul George one actually a pretty good comparison until PG blew up after last years All-Star break.

Dwight Howard is the most overrated center hands down. He has no post moves what so ever, no offensive threat, no go to move. Why do people still think he's the best center in the game? He's not period. I'll take Drummond over him hands down

If he was more of a rebound, hustle, defensive type player and focused on things like that the way Drummond does he would be much better IMO..
Teams give him low post touches because otherwise he cryes about it.

It's funny though how people where blaming everyone (D'Antoni, Kobe) but Dwight for his lack of offense last year. I guess people just pretended to watch Lakers game and thought they might aswell just blame Kobe.

Probably because he usually leads the league in rebounds, in the top list of blocks and defensive player of the year voting, and can score upwards of 20 points per game on just 11 to 12 shots..

He may or may not be the best center in the league, but he's an imposing presence inside and a better scorer than nearly any center in the league despite not having a legit go to move.. Someone who flat out just can't score doesn't carry a team to the finals and drop 40 point games while doing so.

To be fair though, to have two of the best big men in the league and run your offense the way D'Antoni did was pretty stupid.

And Kobe is going to get blamed, he's the star and leader of the team.. A team with plenty of talent.. It's his job to make things work and make things click.. And at the start of the season he wasn't doing that.. He had numerous 25ish shot games win just a couple assists.. That should not happen.

Re: Andre Drummond, better than Dwight?

Two of the best big mens? How many games have they missed? How many games have they been a 100%? Who was the 2nd scoring option then? An injured aging 14 ppg Pau Gasol or a coming back from back surgery with no back to the basket game Dwight Howard? He was even worse than he is this year last season...

It's just funny to read that now people thinks Dwight isn't an offensive force. I tell you it wasn't the general opinion on theses boards last season.

He was good in Orlando. His athleticism was enough for him to dominate some games. His prime is behind him though.

If he thought of himself as a defensive center, a la Chandler, who scores on the p'n'r and from offensive putbacks and if he wasn't an annoying drama queen, he'd be a great player.

3 years from now, Dwight will be a scrub. You can save this post.

Argument invalid at this point. Can't have it both ways brah. Dwight is gone, best for you to just move on with your team. You'll be getting LeBron and Carmelo next year or Carmelo alone, not sure which, but it's happening. Just enjoy it.

If LeBron goes to LA I will be very disappointed. He has no reason to go there.

I have liked Drummond since he was drafted, but come on. Really.

                      This thread is a joke.

Drummond will end up in LA in a couple years though.

It just seems like some **** he would do. I always assume the worst when it comes to the Lakers anyway.

As for Vni, I'm saying you can't have it both ways because you're acknowledging Dwight's health last year to win an argument against oj and yet completely ignoring that very thing just so you can still go on and on about how horrible Dwight was/is and saying he'll be a scrub in 3 years. Really, dude? We get it, your Lakers didn't get what they wanted out of the Dwight trade. Get over it or at least stop talking about it so we don't have to hear this ridiculous crap out of you every time Dwight comes up.

You missunderstanding what I'am saying really. My whole post is about people finally realising what is Dwight really worth on offense. Nothing else, I don't know what you're talking about.

I don't care about anything else. I thought Dwight made the right choice going at houston so I don't see what your point is.

Dwight Howard lead Orlando to the Finals years ago...
Andre Drummond is in his 2nd season...

                                No way Drummond is better...

                                Can he be? Yes...
Will he be? I don't think he can anchor Detroit to the Finals, so no...

The only problem Dwight is facing now is he losing a little athleticism so he can't just jump over everybody. I don't know if Dwight will ever be a post player with a go to move, but if he does ever get comfortable posting up he will win a title...

Drummond has no post game...If he does develop one early and does not wait until he is 32 like Amare, lol then he can and will be better than Dwight...As of now, he's just an athletic big that can run rebound and block...Not saying that's not important but when the game slows down, you can't throw it to him and get buckets & he'll probably never get a midrange shot, so he'll just clog the lane...
