With tonight's 109-103 win over the Rockets, Utah has now won 3 of their last 4.

This is a different team when Burke is playing. Now we need to get Kanter back into the lineup and we can start going to work.

I'm still so disappointed we passed on Burke. That ruined my whole trip to Brooklyn LOL. We could have him and have kept our 2014 pick.


As good as his stats has been his ability to run the offense and make smart decisions is what has really made the difference. He is learning so quickly. Mistake I've seen him make when he first came back from the injury I'm not seeing anymore. Kid may end up as a special player. And of course the concerns about his physical abilities were over blown. His pace is deliberate he has the first step, the change of direction, and ball handling to get where ever he wants to on the court. He reminds me so much of Chris Paul.

Which ones? Not that 7 games is enough to dispel ones opinion, but he certainly hasn't looked slow and his shot is there. His PNR defense is still a problem, but that's more the norm with inexperienced players.

His athleticism is still a concern IMO. Even in his highlights, there's plays where you can tell he's totally outmatched physically and ends up throwing up crap as a result. And at least for now, I don't think he's a good enough shooter to off-set his lack of athleticism. He's at least gotten his shot a little quicker than it was at Michigan IMO, but the kid is shooting what? 36% from the field? He's too trigger-happy as a PG to not be at least a good shooter.

But again, tonight was definitely a step in the right direction. Hopefully he continues to improve. But I still think he'll settle in as a backup PG when it's all said and done.

He's been clutch as hell though these past few wins.

I'm not dismissing anything. I'm saying that's what I thought of him during his time at Michigan and leading up to the draft. He hasn't changed my mind yet. Hopefully he continues to improve.

Me saying that I still think he'll end up being a backup PG is no different from Throne saying he thinks he'll end up being a special player. You just disagree with my point of view, and that's fine. It's just my point of view. I hope he proves me wrong.
