Wow, thats a dunbass comment. Kobe was criticized for taking 70 shots in the last three games on a team with shaq, malone, payton and a solid bench. No one said dont shoot kobe, it was about better selection and unselfish play. Unselfish play doesnt mean passing the ball all game when you have the skills of a kobe bryant to defeat defense. If anything what he did sunday was selfish because he was obviously taking a big game and using it as a statement, maybe to phil jackson. Its pretty selfish to put up a front like kobe did while passively allowing the kings to pump up their lead.

IMO what kobe did yesterday was worse than what a few players (Melo, Chris Mihm, a couple others) did in not coming into the game when the coach told them to. Think about it, I'd rather have kareem rush on the floor playing hard than kobe smirking and passing up shots and using "double team" as his reasoning.

Double teams should never stop a superstar. I have never heard/read such [censored] in my time following the NBA.

i would expect something like that from a paul pierce/melo fan, but anyway he took 13 shots and your criticzing him. What gives? He shot 70 shots in 3 games which averages to about 23 shots a game, but you said that he had gp, karl malone, and shaq so he only takes 13 shots, and then you still critize him.

edit: You probably would have criticzied him even he took 20 shots so i don't really see the point of that.

    <hr /></blockquote><font class="post">

I didnt criticize him for 70 shots in three games, I said "he was criticized" as in by others. I dont know your favorite player and I really dont give a damn, but dont assume my view is clouded by bias. I like kobe, tmac all those guys are great players. And I dont know what the hell liking pierce or melo has to do with what I said. dont rip someone when you dont know what you're talking about.

    <hr /></blockquote><font class="post">

my bad i thought you were criticzing him for taking too many shots. Also later on i said he was being a baby, but you can't say that was worse than melo not wanting to come back in becuase what if kobe was right (though highly unlikely).
Just wait till Arsenal moves into Emirates Stadium.

Fair enough, but I think it was worse due to it being basically the whole game, while melo wasnt coming back in with 6 mins left with no chance of a comeback

I understand your point here and maybe he did have a BAD GAME, but come on, he was averaging somewhere in the high 30's vs. Sacramento. I think we can all agree something was up with him not taking any shots in a big game. Doug can play D but he has never really locked down Kobe. You're right it is one game and it is time to move on but then he goes out tonight and puts up 45 points tonight. Granted it was against the Warriors. I just think he was trying to prove some kind of point that's all.

Well he got 45 yesterday on 29 shot attempts and had 8 assists to go with that. Now that is a Kobe-type game.

Read the story toward the bottom. It says that he was angered because people thought he threw the game away. ON the local pre-game radio station, they interviewed him and he did seem upset that people were saying he "sabatoged the game." I don't know what to believe, I'm just gonna try to forget it all.
