Tomorrow, if anything except the following happens, I'd be surprised:
    Pacers beat Raptors
    Nets beat Pistons
    Bulls beat Bucks

Best scenario by tomorrow is Raptors 3.5 games ahead of Nets, worst is 1.5 ahead. Magic number to clinch division is 5,can be 3 by tomorrow!

Well, that sucks. I don't understand the mindset behind Pop's decision to rest Manu, but play Parker and Timmy. If you're going to rest one, rest them all. It's going to be hard to beat OKC with any one of them sitting out.

Tony and Timmy were pretty horrible tonight, though... Concerning. We need all hands on deck playing well against OKC in the playoffs.

Clippers chucking up threes on those two trips wasn't needed man.

Don't want to see that if you're a Clipper fan.

I'm surprised that Carlisle went with a 3 guard look of Calderon Harris and Ellis in the last 3 minutes. He didn't put that lineup together all game until then. I'm interested to know why he went with it.

I know they need Jamal Crawford and Granger back but they really need to trade that pudgy dude dudley for a wing that can drive to the basket.

                      Turnovers, turnovers, turnovers......

Parker and Duncan laid a big sticky egg and will have to play better in the playoffs (if they face one another) against OKC. Tough loss but they'll move on to the next game and hopefully be prepared if they meet in the playoffs.

Rick Carlisle likes to pull lineups out of his *** in the final 5 minutes. I'm just glad he didn't throw Dejuan Blair out there. That 3rd guard is just as useful. It wouldn't have been so bad if Dalembert was also out there, but Wright I don't think contested a single rebound on either end those last few minutes he was in.

I didn't get to see the end of the game last night but that is a strange lineup and its one that has played together very rarely. However it's not really a bad lineup. Harris is a solid defender and a decent sized point guard, we know about Ellis' ability and Calderon was having a nice night shooting the ball. I would guess he thought the added offensive output of having two guys as quick and as good at penetrating as Ellis and Harris out there along with Calderon AND Dirk would create more matchup problems for the Clippers than it would the Mavs.

And we'll still be a better team that half of the East playoff teams AND we'll have a better draft pick than them. My heart isn't necessarily going to be broken if we miss out on the playoffs, although of course, I would much rather see us go to the playoffs and have a chance, no matter how much of a long shot it is.

Also, we could be in a tie for 6th right now if the refs didn't blow that goaltending call, so I'd say of all the teams fighting for that last spot, we're playing pretty damn well.

Plus the fact that neither the Hawks or Knicks stand a chance against Miami.
I was trying to make a point of how uninteresting the other stories are. Two great teams that can't seem to get out of their own way lately are fighting for the top spot, two good teams since the All-Star break, but aren't likely to make a lot of noise in the playoffs, are fighting for the Atlantic, which also features such world-beating teams as the 76ers and the Celtics, and who gets to be in 3rd and probably play the Wizards. How exciting.

I have to say inside the NBA has been almost non existent without Kenny and Ernie anchoring the show. I always like c Webb and I love Steve Smith because he talks as an analyst and not a guy who throws in jokes to fill gaps of time but man shaq and the lifeless anchors they've put on from NBA TV is just not working.

Even the set seems darker for some reason lol

Yeah it isn't the same without kenny chuck and ernie. while they're gone though, the lineup they had last night was pretty good except for shaq and that dork matt weiner.
