He's a RFA and Van Gundy has said they'll match any offer he gets.

I think their main priority is moving Smith though.

And wasn't Bosh the one that said in his own words that he'll take a paycut and won't leave Miami, now according to Broussard he wants $15 mil? Lol this guy

Rockets plan was to let chandler opt out. His contract was way cheap. They can sign a free agent then sign him again long term or match anybody trying to take him win win.

Bosh can get a 5 year deal though? He'd probably opt out again in year 4.

Same with Wade and Bron...this is just a repeat but now teams have more flex because of birds rights... ala Zbo's deal.

      So far nothing is changing.

Love don't wanna be stuck taking a pay cut from his new deal and be stuck in San Antonio post Duncan and probably post pop. Those guys are special and this is exactly why.

I thought the article this morning said the decision is still pending? I'll take your word for it,..haven't really heard that much on it..

and yeah, Bosh would probably sign back with MIA no matter what...him and the Mrs. Are clearly about that South Beach life , lol

        Dude ain't asking for 15...

It's funny how when you talk about the Heat, Bosh and Wade are superstars, the best at their positions, top 5 players in the league.. Yet when you take the Heat context out of it and you're just talking about them compared to other players, or listing off the top players in the league, their names never get mentioned..

It's like at any one point in time Wade and Bosh are either the two most overrated guys in the league, or the two most underrated guys in the league lol..

But I definitely don't want a Love or Melo signing in Miami. Just bring in some complimentary pieces and go from there.

Yeah, he's a really solid offensive big man. He's got some good skills down-low, and he really didn't shoot that poorly this year or his 2nd year in the league from outside of the paint.

His 2012-2013 average from mid - range was like 28% though, so his jumper is inconsistent it looks like.

If Love happened to be serious about coming down here, R.C is definitely all over that..

Biggest difference to me is that guys go to other destinations, Miami, LA, NY, etc.. Knowing that they are going to be part of a system that's built around them.

There's no guarantee in that at San Antonio. Pop wants you to fit his system, maybe not play huge minutes.. And so players would sacrifice a better title shot with San Antonio for a more star powered spotlight another team would offer..

Honestly if I was in their position I would probably due the same. With San Antonio being a place I tried to land as a grew older.

Regardless, Bosh and Wade are still top players for their positions. Doesn't matter that they aren't mentioned when talking about the best players...

They are, I'm not saying they aren't. It's just funny how once the context changes peoples opinions of them seem to jump from one extreme to the other.

I just hate the lack of parity in the NBA. I know it's nothing new, and ever since the days of Bill Russell's Celtics there's only been about 3-4 teams that realistically could compete for a title, but it feels like all of these lockouts and labor negotiations to legislate parity into the league are really all for naught when you can easily manipulate your way around the salary cap rules.

I hate the fact that the Heat are in my division, but my feelings aren't vented towards them in particular, they just happen to be the team that epitomizes it. The Spurs I have no problem with, they draft well, develop their talent, and bring in players that fit their culture. I think King touched on a key point in the difference between bringing in a Danny Green and snatching up other teams star players (I.E. Lowry).

I'm just frustrated as a fan of a small market team, because we have to get every decision right, make every draft decision a perfect one, and if we somehow luck into drafting a transcendent talent or a superstar, we basically spend 7 years grooming him to end up in a big market.

Top players as in top 10, for Wade top 5. Not #1 at their positions

I'm not a big Bosh fan, but 15M a year is actually a pay cut compared to what he was gonna make this year if he opted in 20M. I don't know about anyone else but 5M ain't nothing to sneeze at

Wade isn't a top 5 player, but he's pretty easily a top 5 SG, in my opinion.
