Mavericks, I'm told, are closing in on a verbal agreement to bring back point guard Devin Harris. Sides expected to strike three-year deal

Pringles has been gone 2 months now. We have an damn near empty roster, loads of cap space that's collecting dust. A rookie that's going to be a big part in the franchise going foward something that hasn't been said since Flat Bread knees. Not to mention coming off our worst season ever when Nick Young was our best player most nights so yes rush the exact moment.

I think they already know who they want or at least 2 of them. The players coming is apart of the problem too. They probably can't get anyone right now of significance to commit, and not just because of coaching.

Always the possibility of a trade.

develop some of the young talent, Harrelson, Ennis

Frye, Blair, Jordan Hill, Steve Blake...

No home runs in there though....and it doesn't really have to be this year..

My problem with the lakers is that there acting as if what they do this summer defines if were ever gonna win another championship or not. Id rather them take time(2-3 summers if they have to) to build us back up to contention again. I get they wanna live up to the whole, we dont rebuild we just reload motto. But its time to face the fact that were in a mini rebuild right now. With that said im glad were going after bledsoe and parsons, if we could get either one of those guys, were definetly on the right track.

Realistically we have to see what LeBron is doing. I still don't buy that he's going to take a max contract because just one of those three taking a max severely hurts their ability to improve that team. LeBron is going to take about 22 million dollars if he takes the max. We really think both Bosh and Wade are gonna be cool taking under 14 million in order to get some better players down there? I think they'll have money after Bron takes less to make a run a few of these guys still out there.

True. I just don't think it's a good look to still be without a coach at this point in time.

Thats all im saying, i aint tryna indicate that lebron is done or none of whatever yall think im saying.
What are you talking about man? Nobody is pulling things out of your posts that you aren't saying. You said they'd be worse than last year and talked about LeBron not being able to carry them to a championship this year so he probably won't be able to do it next year. If they come back with pretty much the same team with the subtraction of Chalmers, they still won 54 games, finished 2nd in the east just missing the 1 seed by 2, not to mention the fact they allowed themselves to finish 2nd. They still rolled through the east with ease and came three wins shy of winning a title. If they play any other team in the western conference playoffs in the finals, they either win a title or at least last six or seven games.

If things play out the way we're anticipating as you say and Melo stays with the Knicks, what east team has really significantly improved their roster to be a contender to go to the finals? Maybe the Bulls because of Rose possibly being healthy and Indy by default of already being the other team in Miami's way.

The right price you can get these guys to commit anywhere just seen that with Ben Gordon. Upper Management is wasting such precious time with Melo/LBJ. There's quality guys that are falling by the wayside and were staying pat after coming off our worst season ever.

                    Gordon is not significant though.

To use the excuse they're waiting on Melo or LeBron is a pipe dream, its not going to happen. So exactly what is happening.

I really have no idea what this free agency period is doing unless some of them are waiting on LeBron to commit first? Im not really sure

You just partially stated my point. But this isnt really important so i'll just drop it.

Oh and about the lebron thing, if lebron really is demanding max, and does get it in miami. What are wade and bosh gonna do? Cuz i know they aint gonna be happy.

Im not bashing anything. With that contract and where he is, if you don't think thats not going to come up you are being completely dishonest and you know it.

What exactly is the plan that they have right now? If its not Melo or LeBron what are they planning to do?

That's not an excuse that's the honest truth. So far no other FA have been reached out due to management waiting on LBJ/Melo for whatever reason. We seen this same thing happen a few years back when the Knicks waited and waited for LBJ then blew there money on Amare. I just don't want the same thing happening here which I'm afraid it will.
