If Spo just manages his stars' minutes better I think they are still the favorites to make it again. Instead of having Wade sit out for a quarter of the season just have him play reduced minutes, get beasley out there more (even though Spo hates him) so that Lebron isn't playing excessive minutes.

I disagree with one point though, now that battier is gone they need someone to guard the other team's best wing player. which is why ideally Marion or Ariza or PJ Tucker would be a great addition.

As a die hard Mavs fan i would hate to see Marion sign with Miami.

      That just doesn't seem right.

Luol Deng is saying that it'll take $12 million per year to sign him, per @WindhorstESPN. That and more in FA diary: http://t.co/5Ueux2K6Jl

I feel like Wade is one of those guys who could still command over $10 Mil based on name and past accolades alone, depending on the team. That team will probably do the same thing Miami did with him as far as resting him and then hope he can revert into his old, old usual self as opposed to his new, old self if that makes sense.

Hasn't he shown enough to show that he can't be that guy consistently anymore? Serious question.

Riley was "very charming," per source, and visit had the feel of a college recruiting trip. But it's all about the dollars at this point.

Here's tricky part about Deng-to-Miami: unless his stance changes, he has indicated he wants no less than $10 mil/year, more like $12 mil
Not surprised at all here. Couldn't see Deng turning down 10 mil a year here, some place he really wanted to stay, to go take 10 mil or less somewhere else.

Oh I agree with you. I think it's safe to say that he's done as far as being the go to guy and it's even arguable that he's done as being the #2 guy.

Shoot, I'd have no doubt that if the Nets had plenty of cap space this offseason, they'd be willing to let Wade name his price just so they can get him because they believe that they're "one player away".

Meanwhile, we're still waiting for 2010-2012 Deron to show up for just ONE whole season SMH.

You think Deng might've overplayed his card a little bit in regards to FA this offseason?

I understand why he's trying to get as much as he can with his recent injury history over the last few years but if all he's going to get/want is $2 Mil more than what Chicago offered him, then he would've been better off taking what ya'll offered him.

Love the Devin Harris deal for the Mavs. Wondering if he's going to be slotted in as the starting PG with Felton and Mekel backing him up or if the Mavs are gonna continue to pursue someone like Isaiah Thomas and use Harris as a point guard and a 2 guard and use more situationally. No team's backcourt in the league would be able to match up with that kind of speed between Thomas, Harris and Ellis.

Sorry the Heat do need to do something. Lets not forget that 2013 Finals Danny Green makes 1 FT and you wouldn't be this confident. I don't think something drastic like Gasol but re-signing the same guys after they got blown out in every lost would be insane.

Not sure how big the move/moves are going to be, but I'm having a hard time believing any of the drama ESPN is trying to portray.

This is a smart bunch down in Miami. I just can't see a scenario where Riley and LBJ convinced Wade to give up over $40 million for the next two years without having something up their sleeve.
