It's a weird situation. Problem is Riley can't really do anything substantial until these guys resign and he knows their salary. I think they're just keeping their options open right now. My guess though is LeBron will resign for a short term deal to keep his flexibility in the future.

Re: 2014 Off-Season Thread
Not surprising but I wonder what exactly they expect on getting in return. After his performance in the playoffs, his value is basically in the gutter. Or in 2K terms he's probably a 1 star trade value.
I also wonder if they'd change the way they play after shipping him out and try to go with a smaller, more up-tempo offense. Personally I think they should just stay the course, unless there's things that went on last year that contributed to that whole second-half collapse that we don't know, which is probably the case if I had to guess.
I mean for starters they play in the East, so they're already basically locked into a top 3-5 seed. And then depending on what happens within the next couple of weeks, the Heat's window could be closing quicker than expected, which in turn kind of reopens Indiana's window.
If it were me, I'd keep Roy and let Stephenson walk. I feel like as good as Lance was last year, he was probably the cause of a lot of the issues that were going on there.Originally posted by bradtxmaleI like 6 inches. Its not too thin and not too thick. You get the support your body needs.

Re: 2014 Off-Season Thread
If I was Cleveland I would throw some of my higher paid guys at Indy and see if they would take it. Maybe like Andy V and Jack. Pretty good chance they wouldn't take anything that didn't include Waiters though.

Re: 2014 Off-Season Thread
I don't think his value is in the gutter. Obviously the end of the season sucked major for him, but considering the team as a whole sucked with him it may be easier to overlook, a change of scenery is needed type of thing. I still think you have to put him up there as one of the better centers in the league. He is 27 years old and has been healthy his whole career. Only 2 more years on his contract so teams won't be on the hook for that long.
Either way I don't mind the idea of trading him if the deal is right but who can we get? Bird isn't going to trade him just to do it. He's gotta get something in return. Only thing I see right now is Rondo since Ainge has said he wants a rim protector and they do have Bradley to play PG, but even then we would still have to sign a center.Indianapolis Colts

Re: 2014 Off-Season Thread
I wouldn't say the dude is trash. I mean there's no disputing the fact that his postseason performance and behavior was shameful and ridiculous but I remember last years playoffs Roy's paint defense against Miami was the only reason they took that series to 7 games. I don't think he's an all-star by any means but I think with some more maturity he's a valuable defensive asset. I think he could fit with the warriors and the thunder. But I don't see any clear deal that would be made bc the pacers would expect too much in returnComment

Re: 2014 Off-Season Thread
I dont see pacers sending roy to okc without getting ibaka in return. They know having a big like roy is the kryptonite for the heat, so they will want a shot blocker or defensive anchor guy in return, not a shaqin a fool regular.
To be honest, ibaka has gotten owned by large post up players so it might be worth considering (assuming the money works)Comment

Re: 2014 Off-Season Thread
OKC isn't trading Ibaka for Roy man. If they were that desperate they'll just start Adams.

Also, I know this wasn't actually suggested but I still have toat the idea of Hibbert for Ibaka.
