I wouldn't be surprised if the Lakers were battling for .500, which means they'd be a pretty decent team considering they're in the west. I could foresee the game being watchable tbh

Good to see that. I thought it was what both players should do.

Best Case Scenario for Greg Monroe: Prove this season he can consistently hit a mid range j, get boards, and be at least an average defender. Not saying he hasn't done these things just saying if he wants some team to throw max dollars at him then ^. (He won't deserve it but neither does most players)

Best case scenario for Bledsoe: If he can stay healthy and maintain is athleticism and consistent very good offense. Then he will get max dollars. I felt both players still had things to prove. Which is what they will get a chance to do

Of course yet another year of Lakers basketball on Christmas. Hope we smash them by 30. Guess it's progress they're finally on the road again.

I think the Lakers are having way to hard of a time accepting the fact that they need to go into rebuilding. At least their counterpart celtics figured that out accepted and now are making their way back up with some decent young talent.

The Lakers aren't making the post season (healthy Kobe or not). I thought when Dwight left it would show them how little being a laker means to FA's anymore. You can't just advertise "Hey, it's the lakers." Anymore. I do think Julius Randle (once he's worked with to make smarter decisions and develops a more solid jumper) will be a very good NBA talent but that's Post Kobe. They should've made Kobe take a more huge paycut than he did bc yeah they will have cap space for another star but not 2 stars or other serviceable players. I understand the lakers have to keep Kobe bc Laker Fans would rip them a new one. But I think Laker Fans would get over it if they see light at the end of the tunnel and as far as I'm concerned, they will miss the playoffs for at least the next 2 or 3 years.

I'm definitely not gonna complain about watching Kobe play on Christmas Day lol. (Granted he's even healthy by then)

The Gasol/Boozer and Kobe/Rose comeback storylines will at least make it interesting, even when we crush the lakers

What more could they have done besides what they did this offseason? We had no draft picks in next years draft before the Jeremy Lin trade(our pick is owned by Phoenix unless we finish in the top 5). We got a free draft pick to take on an expiring deal. Nash, Boozer & Hill(his 2nd year is a team option at $9 mil) come off the books as well. There was not much the Lakers could do this summer to rebuild because you cant rebuild in one summer. There were not a lot of young quality unrestricted FAs out there for us to try and sign.

Good news for us is that Monroe is only signing a 1 year qualifier so he will be an unrestricted FA next year. Hopefully Bledsoe signs his 1 year qualifying offer as well.I've accepted we are going to be bad next year but there wasn't much else out there without giving another team a chance to match their deals(in respect to Monroe & Bledsoe).

Speaking of complaining, I haven't heard/read your thoughts on LBJ to the Cavs.

                      No issues with it huh?

                      Good.

After this year is up could the Lakers potentially get Bledsoe and Monroe?

at oj, yes we could potentially get both guys.

sorry if this has been posted already, but i guess these are next years schedule leaks

The 2014-15 NBA schedule isn’t officially out yet, but several key matchups have been reported. Here they are in one place.
