The Pistons aren't moving Drummond. Even to get rid of Josh Smith's awful contract.

Re: 2014 Off-Season Thread
Yeah, I never did understand all of the love that Klay was getting during those GSW/Love trade talks. He's a good player, great shooter, and a good defender as well, but from what I've seen, he's not as proven as some of the other guys when it comes to creating his own shot. Besides, some of ya'll are talking about his defensive skills like he's Tony Allen.
Harden is essentially the best SG in the league by default. He is clearly the most talented of the bunch, and has a pretty nice all-around game. The past two years in Houston his defense has been awful, but he looked great in OKC and is looking pretty sharp defensively for Team USA this summer. Hopefully it translates to his 2014-2015 campaign.
If Wade hadn't have fallen off defensively as much as he did, he'd be my #1. He's incredibly efficient?, and as long as he's healthy, him and Bosh should be a scary duo this season since they're motivated.
Monta is nothing more than a scorer. Can't stretch to SF because he's too small, and he can't play PG because that's not his game. He needs strong defending and shooting surrounding him to succeed.
K -Mart is very proven as a SG offensively. Nothing he can't so on that side of the court. But he has some big problems on defense.
If I had to make a list, I'd go:
1. Harden
2. Wade
3. Beal
4. DeRozan
5. Johnson
6. Klay
7. Hayward
8. Stephenson
9. Martin
10. Monta
Monta can't play point guard? You haven't watched much Monta Ellis recently.NFL: Pittsburgh Steelers
NBA: Dallas Mavericks
MLB: Texas Rangers
NHL: Dallas Stars
NCAA: Alabama Crimson Tide

Re: 2014 Off-Season Thread
What did I make up? His own coach Rivers talked about how stubborn Rondo was. He got into it with Ray Allen and other members of that team. There's reports he bumped heads with not only players but the coaching staff his brief team with team USA. You may say things may be overstated at times about players but I don't know how you say I'm making it up?You looking at the Chair MAN!

Re: 2014 Off-Season Thread
I'm familiar with how he played with the Kings. However I'm familiar with how he played with Toronto, and the Grizzlies as well. A player doesn't suddenly just get "better" halfway into his 8th season. It's most likely he found a team/system he enjoyed playing with/in and became more engaged. Which means if he goes to Detroit - he can just as easily become disengaged. He has the inconsistency of JR Smith.
If you can find a way to do it without Monroe, go for it. But neither Monroe or Drummond shouldn't be moved just to dump smith's contract. Unless they get something back better than Rudy.
This is of course is assuming that Monroe just doesn't want to be in Detroit long term which is the indication his actions have given. The reports are he didn't even seek an offer sheet just a S&T. If he truly wants out it means after next year he's gone provided so major action. Which only means as the season goes so does the Pistons leverage in a trade. I think Drummond for them is the future and Monroe will stunt his growth process as both guys have to be close to the basket to maximize their respective skillsets.
Again I think this is a case of addition by subtraction. You looking at the Chair MAN!

Then why not change? I'll take a minute to correct myself and say that statement was an assumption and should have been stated as such. However at this point if he hasn't changed his approach to dealing with people it's only logically to assume he doesn't care about the way his personality impacts others.Last edited by da ThRONe; 09-01-2014, 05:06 PM.You looking at the Chair MAN!

I think if we get Mozgov, it will be a combination of the Utah players we picked up and most likely that MEM 1st. Maybe we include Joe Harris, but we really dont have much to offer outside of our core.Comment

Woj reporting:
Why doe?
Retired seven-time All-Star Tracy McGrady worked out with Los Angeles Lakers star Kobe Bryant late this summer in a Southern California gymnasium, testing the preparedness of his body for a possible NBA comeback attempt.
"Yes, I was working out with K.B. to get in shape and see how my body feels," McGrady told Yahoo Sports in an email Tuesday night.
"The comeback will not happen, unless I have the drive whenever I get back," McGrady told Yahoo in the email.Comment
