Re: 2014 Off-Season Thread
“I told Carmelo, I said, I wish your wife were here because she’s more popular than you in Los Angeles. We’re trying to recruit her, because if you can get LaLa, Carmelo has no say,” . “So, we’re trying to get her to Hollywood. Hollywood is right here. She can do whatever she wants”Comment

He could have stuck to what he's been saying. But then I guess that doesn't matter, because this about the third or fourth different reason he's given since signing.Comment

Maybe because every player takes into account a bunch of different things when they decide where to play?
Again, he's at an event where the whole purpose of him being there is to talk about and promote his business.Originally posted by Jay BilasThe question isn't whether UConn belongs with the elites, but over the last 20 years, whether the rest of the college basketball elite belongs with UConnComment

Re: 2014 Off-Season Thread
I may be misunderstanding what you're saying here, but Melo's allowed to have 3-4 different reasons for signing lol. He can enjoy New York City, like that he can keep Lala happy, and enjoy the dump trucks filled with cash too."Twelve at-bats is a pretty decent sample size." - Eric ByrnesComment

What Melo said is nothing we didn't already know at this point. Well, for one of y'all at least, lol.#RespectTheCultureComment

Re: 2014 Off-Season Thread
See my thing is that would make more sense if he said all these things at once instead of every interview or statement being a new reason. When he first decided it was his heart never wavering, he wants to win in New York. Then it was a tough decision and he was really close and so on. Now it's about his business, blah blah. Grand scheme of things, I don't care. It's over and done with, his decision and we knew how things were going to go and what he was about. My team is what it is and I'm feeling pretty good about it. It's just funny hearing him talking about it really.Comment
