Oh wow, something actually rooted in fact rather than using Minnesota's point of view.

Maybe I'm missing something. How is that more rooted in fact than the other link? They basically confirmed nothing disputing what was in the other link.

Its the first report that isnt directly from Minnesota's mouth or just an absurd reach.

By the way, I went to NBAstore.com and tyed in "Jabari Parker Jersey." You know what I got? One of those corny "fashion" jerseys and a Tshirt. I guess Parker is gonna be traded

It's rooted in more fact than Wiggins not being told two or three weeks before a trade if he's going or not. At the end of the day, the trade will only happen if Minnesota says yes. The owner is saying it's going to happen this month pretty much, that's more fact than Wiggins being let in on what's happening. Carlos Boozer wasn't told he was getting amnestied officially until about a day before it happened.

If the Cavs trade WIggins, several things have to happen for me to be happy.

1) We keep Dion as well as Bennett OR Thompson.

2) We get Dieng.

3) Love verbally commits to Cleveland long term at the press conference. Not "I am intrigued with the prospects on staying here." I want "I will sign with the Cavs long term and will sign as soon as an agreeable contract is on the table."

If Cleveland gets Dieng it makes the situation a lot better. Having him for a few years on the cheap helps negate the lack of salary they would have by signing Love. He's young and can contribute immediately. I would still want them to get Brewer in order to boost the defense even more though..

Also off that topic but still on the Love trade topic:
The idea of needing Wiggins to defend the other teams best player to keep LeBron from "wearing down" is really overblown IMO. When is this even going to be needed? LeBron isn't going to spend all season long busting his *** guarding the other teams best players. If Durant drops 50 on them in the regular season who cares? It's all about when the playoffs start.

I do think a Wiggins/LeBron/TT/Varejao defense would be a much better 5 man system than Waiters/LeBron/Love/Varejao.. It's not so much about individually "shutting down" someone as it is the 5 guys working together. The versatility of Wiggins/LeBron duo could be potentially scary for other teams.

IF they were to land Brewer and Dieng along with Love the burden of losing Wiggins is greatly lessened. Because Brewer and Dieng both can be big defensive additions.

My only concerns are still:
1. Love not staying
2. Very limited cap flexibility
3. Wiggins is under contract a couple years longer than Waiters
4. Will Waiters play 4th option and be content with that

Also...

If Minny is indeed demanding that Cleveland trade Wiggins and Bennett, the last two top picks in the draft, does anyone think there is a chance Cleveland demands LaVine in return? After all they did sign Mo Williams when they had no need for an extra "combo" guard.
