They weren't supposed to pick 1st anyways. I think he's more so saying "what if" as apposed to something that would have actually happened.

but there is no what if.. theres 0.0% chance even with clevelands luck they would have a kyrie/dipo/james/love/drummond lineup

--is this boozer playing SF in LAL legit?? i thought they were trying to not tank?

It's a typo. Boozer isn't playing small forward, come on now.

So just throwing it out there, but trading for Love right now is even less of a need for the Cavs with the events of last night.

Cavs are supposedly offering up almost all their future potential for Love. I don't think their endgame is just to defeat the Pacers.

Eastern conference as a whole is considered weaker than the West, now it's even weaker if the Pacers can't compete cause they were one of the stronger teams.

Cavs go with what they have and don't give up their future, they can possibly have a good run in the play-offs, maybe possibly win the East if they can come together.

Then you can have Love come over after this year through free agency to a Cavs team with confidence of having a nice run in the playoffs with all their young pieces. Love with that team would be better than Love being traded to a team that gave up some potentially good young talent to make a run this up coming year. IMO

I didn't think Cleveland could afford Love if they waited to sign him after the season? I thought that was the whole point behind all the trade rumors.

If they can wait and sign Love, or if Love goes elsewhere but they still have enough cap to spend on pieces that give Love value, then these trade rumors giving up Wiggins/Waiters, Thompson/Bennett and firsts are really stupid.

only way they sign love is if he and lebron take about 13-16 a year i think

but theyd most likely trade waiters for an expiring to free up enough room to make it happen regardless of contracts

On paper, barring injury, chemistry issues, and rookie coaching issues, I don't see a team that would be capable of stopping Irving, James, Love from winning a title.
Was just asking your opinion and I think that answers it.

Considering I couldn't disagree more, I don't think there's much reason to go into anything else. But I do want to respond to this...

In the end, the question is simple: Is Love better than Wiggins and Bennett? This year, he is. 5 years? Maybe. In 10 years? Probably not. But in these next 5 years, Kevin Love will give you a better opportunity to win. Kevin Love is a proven All-Star, a proven, legit 20-10 guy, no matter how you view it. And the Cavaliers need that threat.
There is a VERY good chance they wouldn't have 5 years of Love. And what's worse is you keep ignoring the amount of money he will tie up as soon as next year. So it's not just about Wiggins and Bennett (honestly, if it was I'd agree that it may be worth the risk), it's also about the crap they'll have to put around the "big 3" with the pocket change they have to spend.

I know alot of people are comparing it to Miami but Cleveland is not Miami. Players won't be as ready to take chump change without the tax break, and without South Beach. James isn't taking a pay cut, and you can bet your *** Kyrie and Love aren't. The Cavs don't have Riley. The team simply won't be able to retool every year the way Miami did.

Exactly, especially since it looks like they'll have even LESS money, horrible management history, and zero championship pedigree..

There might always be the Mike Miller, James Jones guys who want to come play just because of LeBron, but those guys aren't what wins you the rings.

All I know is right now the Cav's have the best player in the world at age 29. There's no time to just give it the old college try for the next 2-3 years...you get no trophy's for having financial flexibility...hope there's a good back up plan if they opt to pass on a top 10 player...
