Actually going back to check, Beasley's per 36 was 19pts and 7.5rb on nearly 50 and 40 shooting.. Pretty damn nice.

If your team is in a position to give Michael Beasley 36 minutes per game, your team is a disaster.

Not if he in fact gave them 19&8 on 50 and 40 shooting. Hell he'd probably be an All Star.

His defense and work ethic leaves a lot to be desired, but how he hasn't carved out a Antawn Jamison or Clifford Robinson type role is beyond me. And I too can't understand why coach Spo didn't play him more especially when we saw that Battier was D - O - N - E.

            70 Million for Eric Bledsoe?

Pretty overpaid, and I love Bledsoe

I disagree. I think he's worth that if he stays healthy, and with the cap going up supposedly bigtime in 2 years it could be a steal since there are no outs in the contract.

From my understanding Eric Bledsoe had the same procedure as Dwyane Wade and Brandon Roy, so who knows how long he has until his knee gives out. He's also undersized, relies too much on his athleticism and is a very inconsistent perimeter shooter. Luckily for him that Phoenix has a more than adequate backup in Isaiah Thomas and Goran Dragic is also there to share ball handling/PG duties.

I have to agree that 5 years at $70 million seems likely too hefty of a price for a slightly above average starting PG like Bledsoe. Then again, he could take another big step in his development and prove his doubters (me included) wrong.

Agree with both of you. I think he actually on the other side of being an All Star. He finally found a place where he can be the man.

Him being healthy is a big IF since that's been his constant hurtle in his career.

I'm just glad it's over and we can start some exciting basketball. Last year was fun but I cringed everytime Ish Smith had to get in. Now we have ITJ coming off the bench with potential 20 a night. Suns are gonna avg 110 a night.

I'm more intrigued to see if Gerald Green takes another step forward. The player he was last season compared to the rest of his career was just a night and day difference..

They may be thinking in a three-men-rotation over two positions just as Lakers did with Gasol/Bynum/Odom.

32 mins each for the 2 guards slots is good ... also means you're getting borderline All-Star production at the guard positions at all times. Plus, if somebody gets injured (say, Bledsoe), they can fill in nicely.

I'm surprised more teams aren't using this approach. Bulls are, with Noah, Pau, Gibson (and Niko)
