They would be more loaded but I think most the complaining against the Heat was "how" it happened.. Also if Wade had stayed Flash rather than struggle with health the way he has, I still think that Heat team could have been better than this Cavs team.

Hell I think they could have been better from the jump with some minor changes. Spo ran 99.999% of everything through Wade and James, he rarely even let the guards bring the ball up.. Forcing Bibby/Arroyo to just be stand still shooters was a big mistake IMO.. I'm not saying give them a big role, but at least let them run the offense, pick and rolls with Wade/James/Bosh, etc.. Arroyo in particular was plenty capable of that.. I think he could have been one of those dark horse 15-20 point on random night guys, like Mills/Neal were for San Antonio. His game was built around those drives and floaters that Rio has used the past few years.

On the Hibbert trade, I really don't want it to happen.. This team has potential to be among the most potent, quick, fast paced offensive teams in the league.. All Roy does is slow them down and clog the lane.. Not a fan..

Obviously his rim protection would be huge for a team that really needs it, but they can find that, with better hedge and recover ability, for MUCH cheaper.. If the trade rumor is legit, I just hope it's not including Thompson/Waiters, they traded enough of their youth away already.

Honestly I thought Thompson would be a rim protector by now based on his college scouting report....

The Pacers asking for Waiters probably immediately ended the call. Besides, the Cavaliers and Pacers don't have the salaries to match up.

I do think they would be interested in Mahinmi, though. Same thing with Mosgov and Javale.

Yeah but going from 6'9 and among the biggest/most athletic guys in college to the league where he's the size of a lot of small forwards and shorter power forwards is a big jump... Not everyone can be Ben Wallace lol

It's done! 4 years 32/20 mil for Markeif and Marcus. basically signing 52 million contract since they share everything.

Good stuff. Locking them for awhile and they are gonna enter their prime now

Markieff is definitely better. His game always reminded me of Rasheed Wallace's. Even some of the mean muggin' and all that. Very versatile player. Helped us out immensely last year. By all accounts, the twins have an incredible work ethic and given their year-to-year improvement thus far, I don't see any reason why they won't continue to improve.

Very, very reasonable contracts for both. Also signed Zoran today. Very happy about that.

As a Bulls fan, I've moved on from the Melo situation. Woulda been nice to have him, but it simply didnt happen and I think it worked out for both sides. I respect his decision to stay home and he's still one of the best players in the league.
