The Clippers would be dumber than they ever have been in their existence. There is no scenario at all on Earth that DeAndre should be considered expendable because you managed to some how squeeze a few drops of juice out of one of those two dried out lemons.

Re: 2014 Off-Season Thread
I'm sorry but there's no trade short of some how getting LeBron or Kevin Durant that you trade DeAndre because you've signed Oden or Bynum. These dudes likely won't even make it through the first quarter of the season but you'd trade away Jordan if they showed a little life? That's playing with fire man. Even if old Oden or Bynum came back this year and you pulled the trigger on a trade, what's to say that they'd continue that play the following season? If they can't keep it up, you can't move them for anything because nobody will trade for them. I just don't see it man.Comment

Re: 2014 Off-Season Thread
Just hypothetically speaking, if they traded him and landed Batum, Lopez.. And then signed one of those big men even if it's Blatche or Okafor..
If they're rotation became CP3, JJ, Batum, Blake, and then Lopez/Hawes/Blatche or whoever then I think they should at least consider..
Obviously they aren't going to get a Jordan caliber big man back from those guys, but they might be able to get farther with Batum or a capable SF than they would Jordan..
I love Jordan, I was bragging him up all year long. But for when those playoff games slow down I'm not sure how much value he really has.. Sure he's great if they were to play Houston or something to keep Dwight off the glass. But they don't need Jordan to match Splitters production, or Bogut's, or Perkins, etc.. A lot of those playoff games he has to sit late because he can't hit his free throws.Comment

Re: 2014 Off-Season Thread
That's a horrible suggestion/hypothetical man and that's putting it nicely, lol.
And for all the "little things" you like to brag that some players do, Baby Lopez, Spencer Hawes, Okefor(what's the fascination with him this offseason anyway?)and 7 Day Dray aren't replacing what you give away with Jordan. Not even Batum would be enough either.#RespectTheCultureComment

Re: 2014 Off-Season Thread
Lol y'all do this every season it's down right laughable. Bynum is done he had 1 good season let that go to his head and got lazier(didn't think it was possible). Please stop when he signed with the Cavs "Cavs might make the playoffs", Heat interested "LeBron,Wade,Bynum?! who needs Bosh!!", Lord please don't make me quote y'all post when he got with the Pacers. If I'm any team I'm staying away from Bynum completely.Comment

It's not about replacing what Jordan does. It's about having "enough" to compete with Western conference big men.. Hawes/Lopez can give them enough to compete with Splitter, Bogut, Perkins, etc.
The whole point of the trade was to fill their giant hole at the small forward spot. Not to replace Jordan's value as their center.Comment

Re: 2014 Off-Season Thread
Bogut is constantly hurt and Perkins...Lol stop it. So basically if it's just Splitter they should be worried about, then why exactly should they be moving Jordan again? You're taking away the one advantage they have over 80% of the league with their PF/C combo being the most athletic and among the most talented in the league.
Me thinks you're slightly overrating Lopez/Hawes#RespectTheCultureComment

Re: 2014 Off-Season Thread
if blake buys into being a defend and becomes above average, i would call DJ replaceable with a stretch 5 like hawes if it brings you a real good hole filler like batum.
but as of today im taking DJ over anyone they could getComment
