Re: 2014 Off-Season Thread
Brook Lopez has been cleared to resume Basketball Activities 2 months ahead of Camp, per NetsDaily.
Can't wait to see the Big Fella back out there and hopefully this procedure takes care of his foot problems.#RespectTheCultureComment

Re: 2014 Off-Season Thread
The highlight of this article is when it shows that the Cavs main big man rotation if they trade for Love would consist of the 74th (Love), 64th (Varejao) and the 76th (Thompson) worst defenders at the rim out of 77. The list consists of the players who allow at least 5 shots per game at the rim. So basically all of these guys give up a bunch of easy shots without defending them. Not good.
I also found this poll interesting
Is trading for Kevin Love a no-brainer for the Cavaliers?
Yes, without question.
25.2%
No, but they should still deal for him.
32.5%
No, and they shouldn't trade for him.
42.3%

Re: 2014 Off-Season Thread
As an assistant coach you kind of have to work your way up to the "tell guys what to do" level.
She's going to have to earn her stripe's first before being thrust into that role anyway...
I'm not too worried about her TBHComment

Re: 2014 Off-Season Thread
I can understand what he's trying to get at. Some of the guys may have an issue with a woman coming in and telling them what to do. If she has to be aggressive about getting a point across they may not take her seriously or not like being challenged by a chick.
I don't think it'd be a problem and certainly not coming out of that locker room. Maybe if this was like the Kings locker room or something, but not in San Antonio.
Respect your honesty but it'd be why you'd be on the bench... or a neighborhood legend complaining about not getting a shot.Comment

Re: 2014 Off-Season Thread
I just see that differently for some reason. If she was an Owner or GM, I wouldn't have an issue with it. Even a Head Coach.
I think 24th put it best. They should be fine.Comment

Re: 2014 Off-Season Thread
BTW, I would think assistant coaches (interaction with players anyway... not researching and helping put together plans with the head coach) work mostly on fundamentals and ironing out kinks. Because it's harder for women to rely on athleticism, the really good ones generally have amazing fundamentals.Comment

I understand your point of view though. Would be more understandable if it was the NFLComment
