Re: 2014 Off-Season Thread
I may end up eating crow, but like Dre said, I think Billups is beyond done. Maybe more of a mentor role for Kyrie and Dellavedova? It seems like we're slowly becoming the Lakers the year Malone and GP came to join forces with Shaq, Kobe, etc. And I have the feeling that it will end up the same way.
Marion, I can see, he still has some value, as an above average defender.Twitter - WTF_OS

Well that did end in being 3 wins away from a championship. So it's not all bad, right?Comment

Re: 2014 Off-Season Thread
I assume Billups is going to play a similar role that Avery Johnson played for the Mavs before he retired and became an assistant for the Mavs and eventually the head coach.
Darrell Armstrong did something similar too with the Mavs. Only going to play in extreme situations or for a limited amount of time and they basically amount to an extra coach and a strong veteran presence.NFL: Pittsburgh Steelers
NBA: Dallas Mavericks
MLB: Texas Rangers
NHL: Dallas Stars
NCAA: Alabama Crimson Tide

knicks trying to trade ellington/prig for a roster spot (maybe marion?)
SpoilerThe New York Knicks are attempting to trade Wayne Ellington and Pablo Prigioni to create a roster spot.
The Knicks have been unsuccessful in trading Ellington on his own, so they've moved on in their efforts by attaching Prigioni.
Prigioni is well-liked by the Knicks, but need to attach a more valued asset.
