He showed at the end of the year he can be a pretty good starter one day. I think the Cavs should try to get him because he would be big backing up Varaejo for 2 weeks until he gets hurt.
We are giving up the past two number one overall picks when the best players in trades with this precedence have been Aaron Afflalo, Danilo Gallinari, and Eric Gordon. Cavs would be vastly overpaying according to this unless they got someone extra like Dieng in return.

Besides, Love is testing free agency next summer. This means his trade value should be even lower.

what if Cleveland does indeed trade Waiters, Wiggins, Bennett, 1st round picks, and then Kevin Love leaves after this first year..

Talk about two polar opposite off seasons from one year to another.

They would deserve it for allowing Flip freaking Saunders to make them his bitch.

i threw waiters in there because i expect him to be gone. He wants to be the guy and at best hes #4 on that team regardless of if love is there or not.

also, i dont think phily is trading thad just to get back bennett, specially if they are trading more than thad and i honestly had no fit for their plans other than waiters unless they are taking shabazz/shved

you could just swap in those nongarunteeds

Im sorry, but if the Cavs GM does this, it should be nearly a fire-able offense.

Look at it like this. If we are willing to give up Wiggins, and our package with Wiggins is by far the best available, then why do this trade so soon? Even without Wiggins we can still put a superior offer out there, especially if GS stands pat on their insistence on not trading Thompson. Why not put pressure on Minnesota to find a more desirable deal to them and THEN include WIggins if the NEED arises with the same result? Its clear Wiggins is THE prize in these negotiations, so Minnesota wouldnt accept another deal if they could get Wiggins instead.

It just shows a complete lack of negotiating skills, especially if we do not get Dieng.

That would be kind of entertaining.

So John Wall got cut from the USA Team

Given that the PG depth was already stacked I would've thought he would have been chosen ahead of Lillard- Irving not so surprising considering his relationship with Coach K.

                  Re: 2014 Off-Season Thread

We got an entire thread on the USA team bro... it's just a few threads down.

Here's an article regarding Eric Bledsoe:

Phoenix Suns majority owner Robert Sarver made an impromptu call into the Burns & Gambo show on Arizona Sports 98.7 FM Friday evening to clear some of the

Robert Sarver believes the Phoenix Suns have made a "fair offer" to Eric Bledsoe in unrestricted free agency. The Suns have offered Bledsoe a four-year, $48 million deal.

"We think it's a fair offer. I think you could argue, you know, I mean some would say it's maybe a little high; some would say it's low," Sarver said. "What's fair is important to us, and also important to him -- him and his agent. It's not necessarily us to determine what he thinks is fair; it's him to determine that.

"We're a professional organization, and he's a professional player. And he's a high-character guy. And his agent (Rich Paul), whose main client LeBron (James), is the utmost competitor and professional."

Sarver said he is not concerned at this point about the team's relationship being strained with the Bledsoe.

"As an organization, we do our 100 percent best to get behind the player and support him as best as possible. And what professional players do, regardless of how their contract works out, when it's time to play, they play as hard as they can -- for themselves, their teammates and for the organization. So what takes place before a contract is signed usually doesn't have a lot of bearing on what takes place after a contract is signed -- when you have a high-character athlete and a high-quality organization. We like Eric a lot, and I think Eric did well with our organization last year. And I think he enjoys his teammates and his coaches and his organization. And so, from a basketball standpoint, I think it's a good relationship."

Sarver stated the Suns are open to continuing negotations upon their current offer.

"We think we gave him a fair offer, and (we would) be more than happy to sit down with him and continue to negotiate it. We're happy to do that," Sarver said.

Crazy how he's commanding a contract to the likes of Westbrook and Wall especially since he only played half a season...

LMAO at the Cavs offering Wiggins and Waiters in the same deal.

Are these the same people who expected Mo Williams to come back to Cleveland too?

                            Never going to happen.
