Not sure if this is more off-season or off-topic, but a nice read on Larry Sanders basically reflecting on last season's disaster. He comes off as a highly intelligent person when his anger is in check...hopefully he's made some changes for the better.

My personal favorite quote from the article:

"I wouldn't take back anything to be honest," Sanders explained. "I'm not a believer in mistakes, I believe in purpose. To say that one thing is a mistake is to say that the whole system is flawed and I don't believe that. Not everything is going to result in good, but everything has a recipe. You just got to pick apart the lessons within the struggle."

Oh he cares! Didn't you see that he only returned to the Knicks because he pretty much forced his way there and has unfinished business? He's all business this year!

But seriously, I hope the Knicks can be successful at some point with him.

I just saw these after dark videos on the youtube NBA channel. Are the T Wolves going to have the most athletic team this year?

Is it crazy to start one of those who would you rather have threads? Dion Waiters and Bradley Beal lol

Probably, the Wolves are going to be fun as hell to watch in transition. And Brad Beal hands down.

The same NBA where he has 4 all star appearences and 2 championship? And are you saying the NBA players he plays against in the Summer don't try as hard? That might be the case for Team USA, but all the foreign players - if anything they play harder. Here's gasol playing against two NBA players (Nene and Varejao).

When is the last time you seen Gasol play with that type of energy / determination for the Lakers? 2010? When is the last time you seen him DRIVE from the top of the 3pt line to the basket? LOL It has nothing to do with it being summer games. He just no longer had any passion for playing for the purple & gold.

Not sure why Pau would have passion playing for mediocre or downright poor Lakers teams with the way he was treated in his time there.

Pau wasn't feeling motivated with D'Antoni. He even said that that offensive scheme wasn't good for him and him wanted to play near the rim (D'Antoni likes stretchers at the four).

I've watched a few games and he had a better performance even when played at the five. Playing for a team while you have the knowledge that you won't win no matter what is a big downer, too.
Hope he plays better along Noah and Taj. Their bigs are great passers.

Bulls will be fun to watch this season.

I don't think it has to do with not having pride in playing for a club, but it's just that the international guys have a lot more pride and sense of duty when representing their country. You see it a lot in soccer; eventually playing for a club just becomes a 'job' but the feeling of playing for your country is always greater and never goes away. It also gets magnified when you're just a rotation player on a club team, but then when you come back to play for your country you're the star of the team, so it lets players come out of their shell so to speak.

Sounds like the Bucks and Brandon Knight might be working on an extension... I'm really curious what kind of offer Milwaukee gives him. I'm guessing Milwaukee will offer around the $7-8 mil per year range and he'll want closer to $10 mil.

He's going to be a really interesting guy to see this year with Kidd hopefully rubbing off on him. If Giannis becomes the point-forward they envision him to be, Knight could be great as an off-ball PG/splitting ball-handling duties with Giannis. He improved a lot in terms of finishing inside last year and also improved his AST% and TO%, and he's a tremendous athlete for the position. Hopefully he doesn't take as many 3's off the dribble this year because he was a decent spot-up shooter prior to last year.

Knight is one of those guys I think could have been much better, if he had stayed a few extra years at Kentucky.

Disagree. I think Teague could have been though.

I never saw Knight as much of a playmaker, but he definitely had a well rounded game at the end of his freshman year, he could of built on that.

Teague is one of those players I believe should have stayed 3-4 years. But I never saw much more then a backup NBA pg in his future.

Wouldn't give him more than ~7 (I'd say 5 but the expected cap jump throws it off) a year personally. Guards without elite skills aren't worth big investments. The league is just so deep with point/combo guards.
