Re: 2014 Off-Season Thread
Pfft, that's such a soft response. Is that an OS, 'I better play if safe' response, or do you honestly feel that way??Comment

Re: 2014 Off-Season Thread
Why does it have to be a play it safe response though? It's his life man, you can say he made a wrong decision and would have had a better chance to win in Chicago, but at the same time it's his life he can play/live wherever he wants.. He doesn't owe it to you or anyone else to move to Chicago just because it's what you wanted lol.

Re: 2014 Off-Season Thread
I think we need to see how Pau looks in Chicago, how Doug looks as a rookie, how quickly Rose bounces back to form, and how much improved Butler and Snell look before we can just say Chicago desperately needs another scorer..
You may need it a lot less than what you actually think. Sure it would be nice to have that luxury, but with the amount of money you would have to pay Melo, and then force him to play off Rose or Rose play off him (which isn't beneficial to either player), it might be better off spent on a package of lesser players..
The Pacers have made it to back-to-back Eastern conference finals without a dangerous 2nd scorer, the Spurs just won a championship with a finals MVP who has a career average of 10ppg, and Dallas won just a few years back without a dangerous 2nd scorer themselves.
Chicago has a top tier defense, you have size, you have rebounding, you have a couple top tier players, and this year if everyone is healthy you might actually have some depth.. The gap from where the Bulls currently stand to being championship caliber likely isn't so big that you need a huge signing like Melo.. IMO
Maybe Butler/Snell can be that Kawhi type of player, if not you could try and land a guy like Batum, it's not that Kawhi has been at some super high unattainable level.. Idk, I just don't feel that Chicago is in a bad enough position for it to be Melo=ring and no Melo=no ring. Besides if they would have put all their resources into landing Melo who's to say you guys wouldn't just be another Westbrook/KD team that struggles any night those two aren't combining for 50+.

Re: 2014 Off-Season Thread
Why you using my name though lol. I say my piece and keep it moving when we get turned down. Would love to have you but if you don't want to come here, then **** you we'll enjoy warring with you and hopefully making you regret that decision every game we play. I don't agree with Melo's decision and I know he's spouting bull**** with his six or seven "one true" motivations he's been handing out since July, but he's still one of the best in the game and I like watching him play when he's playing to his potential.

Y'all win the war because you'll be better than the Knicks will be. And hell, who knows, depending on how D Rose is, you could upset Cleveland. You're not gonna outscore them, but the Bulls defense is always great."To the last minute, to the last second, to the last man, we fight"Comment
