Time for westbrook to step up and show out. I havent always liked the mistakss hes made but ive been very high on his ability. I think okc will hover around bottom 4 in the league for a while, possibly even falling out of playoff position. But i think russ might figure it out eventually. Only sad thing is that when the thunder suck for the first few weeks people are gonna, blame westbrook or consider him overrated or some crap. Hes not quite as good as kd so instead of maintaining 1-2 seed, i think(if he figures out how to lead the team appropriately) they could be 6-8 till kd comes back. He aint, mvp but he may make some doubters look foolish, if he can figure things out.

KD will be back long before seeding or playoff positioning even matters. But they do play in the worst division in the West, so they likely won't drop a huge amount of games more than they would with KD.

Re: 2014 Off-Season Thread
The fracturing of the fifth metatarsal can be really bad news for a shooter or wing player. I really hope the Thunder proceed with extreme caution and allow Durant plenty of time to heal because rushing him back at all could completely derail his career.
Roddy Beaubios, James Anderson and Damion James were all promising young players that had their careers derailed and practically ruined in the NBA. All of them were considered good prospects with their original teams (Mavs, Spurs & Nets), Mark Cuban going as far as claiming Beaubios was "untradeable" at one point, and currently none of them is on an NBA roster.
Thunder forward Kevin Durant will not be available to start the 2014-15 season after it was discovered the reigning MVP has a Jones fracture in his right foot. The Thunder stated they are currently considering all their options and will provide a timeline when a course of treatment has been decided. Durant’s fracture is to […]
This is when we'll see what Brooks, Ibaka and in particular Westbrook is made of. Either Perry Jones, Andre Roberson or both will also need to be given consistent minutes at the 3 spot. It might be an ugly first month of the season for Oklahoma City.

But if you start Lamb, who starts with him? Morrow? That's going to be terrible defensively. Since they don't have Sefolosha, I think Perry Jones most fills his role. From what I saw in closing part of last season, he's becoming a decent 3&D NBA playerFan of:

Bradley Beal has a wrist fracture and is undergoing surgery today. He could be out 6-8 weeks.

Re: 2014 Off-Season Thread
I like the deal for Detroit. We have extra PGs and could use a veteran center with Gray out indefinitely. Also would be interested in doing Jerebko for Budinger if the story about Minny wanting to move him is true.Last edited by rdnk; 10-17-2014, 06:34 PM.Comment
