So you're 100% comfortable with Melo guarding guys like Z-Bo, Aldridge, Love, Pau, and Dirk? Even some of the younger guys have an immense size and strength advantage over him.

Oh, absolutely. Seeing as those guys will have to go down and guard him on the other end of the floor. Also, with three of those guys taking so many jumpshots and the other two out of their prime, I would be more than okay with Melo guarding them.
Who exactly are all these guys with immense size and strength btw? I could just be drawing a blank because the regular season been over for a bit now, but I can't really think of who all you're referring to.
On a side note, a matchup of Melo and Davis is very interesting to me.

Yeah. It would be about a $4mil premium assuming Mario does not get resigned and Lance gets $8mil a year. Obviously with Melo, Lance is out the window.

I like Lance but I'm not sold on how he works with our team. When Rio is making shots, playing defense, and making the extra pass he's a perfect fit.

LOL I was thinking the exact same thing. I would literally put down the nba for another 4 or 5 years if this took place. Heck i might even petition for melo or lebrons removal lol.

But in all seriousness(not that i wasn't serious before) I dont think melo is going to miami. Though both lebron and melo have talked about enjoying playing with each other on the olympic team, and both have stated they liked to play together someday. I question how realistic the notion is of carmelo anthony going to the miami heat. I think melo wants to be a first option, or at least an option 1b on a contender, and with wade, lebron, and bosh there, somebody isn't going to get shots. I think alot of bosh's offensive production would get eaten up by melo, and we might see bosh get unhappy with being in miami, and i could see wade retiring sooner rather than later with melo on the team as well. Not that i believe melo is a locker room problem, but i don't think wade nor bosh(especially wade) are willing to get reduced to role player status quite yet.

To be honest if Melo goes to the Heat to create an ultimate Big 4, they won't have chemistry and Melo won't get his share of the ball enough. Also the Heat would be in chaos and this would probably ruin the NBA. And also, there would be no salary cap space! LOL

Idk.. Melo looks ridiculously good with other stars and seems to have no trouble sharing the ball and picking his spots on team USA.. Obviously this isn't the same sort of thing, but it's not like it's 4 chuckers. Which all Melo's 2nd and 3rd options have been.

The scary thing about wherever Melo goes, to me anyways, is that he's ridiculously good when he gets an open look. Which is part of the reason he looks so great on team USA.. A lot of the great scorers in the league are even better when they can create their own looks and have the ball in their hands.. Melo is pretty much money any time he's left open, and doesn't really have a certain spot. He can't shoot from all over the court.

The Heat really don't need Melo. The NBA is so watered down you could probably pencil them into the Finals for next year.

i dont think flip wants to move him period. He wants a year to sell him on the team again. In the end hes going to wherever minny gets the best return most likely, regardless of the team

if melo signs in miami, silver needs to kick the clippers out the nba then hold an entire league re-draft lol! get that parody back

Heat and Melo....... I not saying anything... Because I thought the current situation was 2k like when the first idea of Bosh, Wade and LeBron playing together first came out. And that it would never happen. I didn't believe it until the not one, not two speech.

I don't even know where to begin with that rumor. So many different aspects of that scenario disgust me.

If it happened, I'd stop watching basketball. Without question. Talk about setting a poor precedent for the future of the league.
