$4.6 million is nothing? I'm not taking a paycut if I'm UD. Gimme that last big check, he knows he's worth vet min if he opts out.

I think we'll end up resigning Birdman to like 2 years $5 mil.

For what he was worth at the time, he took a paycut. You don't usually seee the guys NOT making 20 million taking paycuts for the team then taking another one at that.

I can agree with that. Him getting that last check is more important than Lebron or Wade making a couple extra million. I just looked up UD's contract and it's really backloaded, about half of the 5 year deal was in the last 2 years. I wouldn't ask him to take one not would I take one if I'm him.

UD and Wade are going to be sold on taking paycuts because they'll be paid off under the table and in retirement. I'm sure Micky Arison has already told the two of them that they'll be taken care of for the rest of their lives given their history with the franchise.

Would def have to be more than a car or a house since he has one already

UD isnt the one who needs to make all the sacrifices. Honestly Wade is the first one who needs to. Screw past accomplishments, dude aint a 23 million dollar player, just like Kobay aint worth 30

No doubt about that, I just think that's gonna be the sell he and Pat do. Sell them on making that sacrifice now to get some more guys in there and they'll take care of them later.

The team will also be looking to hire another assistant coach, according to several NBA executives who were not authorized to speak publicly on the matter.
Lawrence Frank, who was on Rivers’ staff as an assistant coach with the Boston Celtics during the 2010-11 season, is being strongly considered for an assistant’s position with the Clippers, the executives said.

I thought they had interest last season as well. That's why I've been talking about him being a signing apposed to Melo.

Lowry would be a better fit than Carmelo.

Wade and Haslam should opt in, since they won't get that kind of money again.

Lowry would be perfect for Miami.
